Four Newcastle Players Out On Loan Started This Afternoon With Some Excellent Performances

Four of our loan boys got starts today in some mixed results for their respective teams. The only one to miss out was Liam Gibson at Grimsby Town who is still recovery from an injury sustained in pre-season.

Freddie Woodman got his second start for Swansea at Derby County. It was a wonderful clean sheet for Woodman and his Swans teammates today as they were able to get a scoreless draw at Pride Park. It was Freddie in the first half who made a wonderful penalty save to help keep Swansea level.

Jacob Murphy would get his Sheffield Wednesday debut at Hillsborough against Barnsley. What a debut for Murphy as he would get a goal in the Owls 2-0 win.

Dan Barlaser would get his second start in two games for Rotherham United as they took on Lincoln City at home in League One. Dan lasted until the 57th minute before being replaced in a 0-2 defeat.

Young goalkeeper Nathan Harker got his Blyth Spartans debut at Alfreton Town under former Magpie Lee Clark. It did not go well for Lee and Nathan as Blyth were well beaten 0-3.

    NEWCASTLE UNITED U18 VS. MIDDLESBROUGH U18 3 – 3
played in the rain i should imagine
    0-2
    3-2
    3-3 in 94th minute
goal and assist for 16 year old Joe White who Neil wrote an article about yesterday.

After flicking through this afternoons 3.00 o’clock games, we should be in the Everton bracket, they looked a cut above the rest but no better than us.

    “Wow!

    Aston Villa stun Tottenham.

It’s a long ball forward and John McGinn has the strength to hold off two Spurs defenders, before faking to shoot as Danny Rose dives in and then firing low beyond Hugo Lloris.

    Superb finish.

What a start for the newly promoted visitors!”

“And for those who tip him to fail and have labelled him inadequate, the last time Bruce managed in the North East he finished 10th and 13th in the Premier League with Sunderland, the exact same record as Benitez was lauded for at Newcastle. Neither the new manager nor the team are as bad as people seem to believe.”

    so there is hope!

I thought Edwards had lost his mind when he said Rafa was off to China and said so on here. I doubted his sources. Now I have a new found respect for him and Caulkin who said the same thing. I liked them prior that.

If you scroll through recent blog weeks (My sympathies if you do) it a really makes you laugh seeing the proliferation of regime huggers. They all have a signature style.

Most of them appear to be new.

They make up names, for groups they have invented of posters, and call them Les miserables, blog miseries, confederacy etc. They are the only ones that accuse anyone of being a group – why do you think that is? It’s to make posters whose message they don’t like less credible.

They pick on random posters they see as threats and insult them relentlessly. A lot of these posters have been on this blog a long time.

They dismantle anything or anyone they perceive as being contrary to the stability of Ashley’s version of nufc. Previous manager is a favourite, along with his excellent managerial record. They use selective irrelevant stats to “prove” how bad he really was.

While anti Ashley posters complain about Ashley, the Ashley promoters complain only about those complaining about Ashley. Funny isn’t it?

They call anyone who wants to do anything about Ashley fools, idiots, morons, less than fans, mackems even.

While those who want to boycott hope it will force change for good, the Ashley lovers simply shoot down anything to do with that. Also very odd, but if course they want Ashley out as much as anyone….

There are apparently lots of them, and they all deny the existence of multiples. Yet many sound and come across as very similar in style and content.

Then of course there’s their preferred audience. The limp jawed slackwits who’ve always loved a bit of controversy and who are perennially away with the show folk.

Gee, luke edwards wudnt be loved in here. Some less than fully positive rafa comments there. I think the “take a miracle to survive” comment received much criticism at the time, quite rightly.

We are definitely comfortably 14th for me too.
After all the money spent by the other clubs I was surprised that there weren’t many lineups outside the top 6 today that looked very daunting at all. We have a few really quality players like Schar, Dubs, Lejeune, Miggy, Longstaff for me, hopefully Joelinton too who is looking good. Maybe I’m nuts but I think we have some pace and some quality in defence, midfield and attack and that the starting 11 is one of the better ones in the league.

Depth is poor though, and we need better fullbacks. £5million isnt getting you enough for a modern day fullback in a wingback system.

Mid table for me unless bruce really gets scared and reverts to hoofball.

Grealish looks out of his depth at this level. Too slow and weak for the position and role he’s supposed to play as a ball carrier and dribbler.

Kane makes it 2-1 after having a bit of a nightmare.
