Greek Super League Club Hoping To Get Newcastle Winger On Loan

Greek outlet SDNA are reporting that Greek club Panathinaikos are still very interested in bringing Rolando Aarons in on loan.

In June, the same outlet reported of the club’s interest in Aarons. It appears that Panathinaikos have been tracking Aarons for some time.

Panathinaikos, who finished 8th in the Greek Superleague last year, has former Newcastle defender Nikos Dabizas as their technical director.

Dabizas made 158 appearances for Newcastle from 1998-2003 and has been given a new hope in getting Aarons to Greece.

They reportedly assumed that with the arrival of Steve Bruce to Newcastle and Rolando Aarons having played such a big role in pre-season, that he would have been part of the 25-man squad for this season.

However, it was revealed on Friday that Aarons has been left out of the squad and must now find a loan deal abroad.

Rolando Aarons– no room in 25-man squad

The report claims that Aarons was told by Bruce on Tuesday that he would not be in the squad for this season. This news was first reported by Keith Downie with Sky Sports the following day.

At that time, it was reported that both Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan were in for Aarons. Aarons had spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday where Steve Bruce was his manager.

However, those deals never materialized and now Aarons will have to find a place to play this upcoming season. He has twice had loan spells outside of England, spending the first half of last season at Czech club Slovan Liberec making 13 appearances. In 2017, he joined Serie A side Hellas Verona for the second half of that season. He made 11 appearances in Italy under former Newcastle assistant coach Fabio Pecchia.

The issue with Panathinaikos bringing Aarons in is that they can only afford a fraction of his wages. So Newcastle will most likely wait to see if a better option arises for Rolando.

The Greek Super League transfer window is open until August 31st.

    Genjikai:

What do you have in store for Ashley?

    A milkshake in his face?

8 people at his gated house in Oxfordshire protesting after they have been to the pub before and after (London Magpies).

    A march on Charnley’s Children’s school?

NY Mag: I just did. They were 3 things that happened recently. Milk shake in the face of Farage. London Magpie Group outside Ashley’s House in Oxfordshire. And, calls at The Magpie Group meeting to march on Charnley’s House. Which were accepted.

    These are all real.

    Cmon tony,

Milk shake for Farage – nowt to do with NUFC

Ashley’s oxfordshire home – I’ll think you’ll find it was one of his residences in central London (and the likelihood was that no one was home)

Charnleys house now translates to his children’s school? Really?

I’m happy to debate with you mate, but don’t go all toon22 on me.

Being a yank toon fan I sometimes hear certain phrases that are a bit puzzling. “Early doors” is one of those phrases I have heard on this blog that we don’t typically hear over here in the states. It is clear from the usage context it means “still early” or “too early to say”. But I don’t get the doors part of the phrase…? 😉

    Sorry mate….regressing into my youth
Of course, you’re correct. It means more or less ‘so far so good’

I have absolutely no idea where it comes from, nor can I logically explain it. 🙂

Miguel Almiron has not yet been able to score a goal in the EPL despite coming agonizingly close on several occasions. I have the funny feeling that the dam is about to break and he will suddenly score a bunch of them over the next few matches.

    Just a feeling… 😛

Hi you guys. Everything good stateside – or as far as it can be with Trump running the show, and showing the UK’s super-clown (Boris Johnson-Trumpj how it’s done!

Any, I did a Jiblets and came up with:

    early doors [early doors]
    DEFINITION (BRITISH – informal)

‘early on, especially in a game or contest.
“you should try to wind up their star player early doors”

Now if Jib had been on the case, you would have had the full Oxford English Dictionary definition and derivations etc.

There it is and let’s hope everybody involved in whatever later today, is happy with the outcome of whatever it is.

Here is one from the same venue as your post of the Weight….that is live from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. If this guy comes to northern England go see him and his band! Incredible!

All you lads on the ”nightshift” are to nla.e for feeding g Baloney the responses he’s after, if you just ignored his first piece of rubbish he would see no one is biting and go back to whatever he was doing, for every posts that responds to him means an extra post from him. It’s quite simple, ignore the fool.

    JackBall,
Unless we get Oxford at home in the 2/3rd/nd round there’s not a hope we’ll get to the fourth round of the league cup. We have one fit striker at the moment, ok I think Muto is a striker.

Charnley saying Rafa went for the money and they couldn’t compete with the wage offer this morning – I pretty much have been saying this since he left so nothing wrong with this in my eyes clearly Rafa went for the money.

Goes onto say communication will now be massively improved throughout the club – will believe that one when I hear it lol!!

I also hope the boycott is a huge success. After all the bullshit we’ve had to put up with this is a huge opportunity to unite and let Mike Ashley and the football world know we’ve had enough,

Buzzing for today.I know we wish Rafa was still here,But maybe a different bland of football might be saught and more attractive to watch.
Fans are at this moment more divided than ever but ultimately want the same thing today …A win .
    Robleenio

Last year we had many debates on here regarding staying away from the club and I am glad you have finally come round.Even the hardcore of many decades of support are turning there backs on the club because of one man.
Force him out and stay away
