Ciaran Kelly with the Chronicle, has tweeted the following passage from the Norwich City programme for today’s game.
In his programme notes, Daniel Farke writes: 'Steve is of course a Norwich legend, and he has all of my respect as a manager. Newcastle have lots of quality, but we will be focused on bringing our way of playing onto the pitch.' #nufc

It’s not too surprising that Farke will continue with the attacking football that won his team promotion last season. They are not really built to defend and will be without some key central defenders for this match.
Newcastle will have to focus on remaining disciplined defensively while also taking advantage of the weak Norwich defense. Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schar, and Paul Dummett will be key in today’s game. They must account for Teemu Pukki, who is Norwich’s main goal threat. He is a tireless runner and could cause Newcastle problems today if not contained.
Norwich’s wing-backs also like to attack, especially Max Aarons on the right. So whoever gets the nod for Newcastle on the flanks will have stay focused defensively.
Newcastle should be able to create some chances today, and we hope to see better delivery in the final third. Then it will be up to Joelinton and Almiron to be more clinical in front of goal.
This should be an exciting and open match. Norwich will be up for their first home game in the Premier League in three seasons.

Comment #2Leopards don’t change their spots and while I can just about give the man a chance Bruce is already displaying worrying indications of being stuck in a time warp.
The early fiasco with Sheffield Wednesday, the eleventh choice rumours, the old school training ground runs to show who’s the big man, that substitution, that one minute change of mind and now woefully predicable pundit style comments that wouldn’t be out of place on the Fast Show.
Norwich are up for it to day albeit with a reduced squad.
We need to win and well.
Now is the time to accumulate points to get ahead of the pack at the start of the season and by christmas be well up the table.
First two games I would have said we should be taking 4 points. Three would be a step in the right direction.

Comment #3lochinvar, speaking of leopards, did you know the original name for giraffes was camelopards. from the Greek language, because it has a long neck like a camel and spots like a leopard. (I expect to be shouted down about the origin…)
Dunno why i wanted to share that with you.

Comment #4Well, I’m going for a Newcastle win today, 2-3 on my Super 6. Hope I get them all right, two million quid wouldn’t go amiss. 😀
Norwich like to attack and that leaves then vulnerable at the back for breaks. Miggy’s pace should be on full view today and hopefully St Max’s if he’s fit. Should give Joelinton space to score his goals.
A lot will depend on how we, cope at the back but we should be fine there. A win today, maybe nowt at Spurs and then another win v Watford should get us going. HTL

Comment #8Don’t suppose the Norwich defenders see themselves as poor players, they’ll be up for the game.
