How Did Our Players On Loan Do Today?

Freddie Woodman got another start for Swansea City today. They were able to come from behind and defeat Preston 3-2 at home.

Jacob Murphy got a full 90 minutes in for Sheffield Wednesday as they lost 1-0 at Millwall.

Dan Barlaser got in 72 minutes for Rotherham United in their 0-1 win away at Burton Albion.

Liam Gibson was an unused substitute as he continues to return from a pre-season injury. Grimsby Town were defeated at Forest Green 1-0.

Elias Sorensen made his debut for Carlisle United, though from the bench. Sorensen came on in the 55th minute of Carlisle’s 0-2 defeat to Mansfield

Nathan Harker got another start for Blyth Spartans as they narrowly went down 0-1 at home to Hereford.

    Jib,
Yes, I’m sure Jack Colback who has selfishly refused to go out on loan and got booted out of the squad two years ago is going to come in and make a world of difference…. in January.

I feel like Pardew’s back. Or McLaren. Or Carver. Similar to how people must feel when somebody who’s murdered their loved one has been released from prison and has returned to live next door to them, only in this case the loved one who has been murdered is NUFC.

I said when McLaren left I’d never tolerate or watch another British dinosaur and I named them. I also said when Bruce came I didn’t want to return to the days of having every single Saturday destroyed by extreme anger. All I want is the type of manager all the other teams have, with the exception of Palace and Burnley and maybe Sheff Utd who will all be fighting it out with us this year. Even teams in the championship have mostly got good modern managers.

Why are we the only one looking in the skip for the most important man in the entire club? A good manager can single headedly keep you up, a good manager gets you playing nice entertaining football. You can’t say that about any one single player unless it’s Ronaldo or Messi. Why pay £40m for Joelinton (who got 10% of Hoffenheim’s goals, who if it wasn’t for his size would be a gamble at £7m) and then pay peanuts for the man who runs the show? I’d rather pay £40m for Biesla or Nagersmann, and play some freebie up front. Bruce is the last straw, and he should be the last prehistoric cabbage we ever employ. Mike Ashley needs to employ someone who can see this as it’s blindingly obvious to almost everybody but him and Charnley. Get Ralph Rangnick in as DoF, he’s constantly finding great managers unlike our DoF Mr Magoo. We’re turning up to the fashion show in Kangols and everybody else has Nikes. I’m going to attempt to disconnect 100% from NUFC until we appoint a forward thinking, progressive, attacking manager ideally who gives young players a chance. With Mike Ashley and Charnley choosing managers that’s going to be a long time. Even if we force Bruce out we’ll only get Moyes, Pulis, Fat Sam, Hughes or Hodgson or Dyche when they become available.

Moonraker called it! Toon have lost two main goal scorers and replaced them with someone who didn’t score many in Holland or Germany. (7 I think last season). At the same time we’ve taken out the master tactician and replaced him with a journeyman! It’s a self-inflicted disaster for the club lacking in proper investment.

This says it all. THE END

Hope everyone sees how just buying players and putting them with any manager doesn’t work. Rafa wanted more control to get what he needed to make the club successful. He had a PLAN, something MA doesn’t have because he doesn’t care as long as we finish 17th. Each year its what do we need to stay up without concern about last year or the next one.

Hoffenheim scored 70 league goals last year. It makes Joelinton’s goal haul of 7 (including a penalty) look terrible. I think 3 or 4 of their other players outscored him including the 19 yr old Arsenal lad.

    Almiron doesnt score many.

    Maximin doesnt score many.

Anyone see a problem? Not Charnley or Ashley or Bruce or Nickson! But at least we have 6 sh** full backs.

Sports Direct. I dont think you need to be that technical. You just need to say employing has-been managers doesn’t work. It wouldnt matter what scouting system you had or what players you bring in, a succession of terrible managers would not bring success.

    The next Mike Williamson,
The players this season weren’t bought to fit a system, they were bought as stock, Ashley won’t lose on them the club will. Look how bad some of Mike Ashleys recent business decisions have been, he is going to destroy us. When will Bill’s son is back appear to tell us this club is not a complete shambles.

What saddened me more than anything was that the players didn’t appear to want to be there. Their passion (if they had any) has gone, along with the fans.

Can anyone think of a previous #9 that has asked to be taken off for us? Let alone our record signing.

It’s all gone pear shaped after 2 games and I can’t see a way back.

Are there any decent managers not working? I think the best we could get would be Monk unless we can find a gem from Germany, Portugal or Argentina like everybody seems to be doing. There’s also the gamble of getting an Arteta type or someone from the German reserve league. But I feel Bruce has already shattered Benitezs team and the morale.

You are right but a manager needs a say in the players that are brought in. How many years have we had to put round pegs in square holes because we didn’t have the right players.

There’s a reason Rafa wanted us compact and defensive. You’re not good enough to express yourself without leaking goals

A better idea might be for Steve Bruce to stay and tell the truth to the fans on a regular basis, so they have to sack him. At least he might then get our respect.
Being the parasites stooge will never wash with the fans.
