Bruce: ‘To be perfectly honest, sometimes you deserve a bit of stick. I’ve got no problem with that because, today, we weren’t good enough.’
To be trotted out ad nauseam.

both top signings with the same agent ?
Must be a discount deal, Ashley likes those.
Far to much back scratching going on.
Shades of Carr and the Mondial deals.

Comment #50Getting rid of Rafa ..a world class coach that worked miracles with what he had to work with, is the worst decision in world football in recent times , a sacking in effect carried out by Mike Ashley in all his arrogance and uncaring ramshackle governance of Newcastle United in order to show that he is the big man and wont be told or advised what’s best for this club by someone that knows, is reckless, thoughtless , bloody minded. It will all manifest itself in a depressed region and a non entity of a once Gracefull Football club .
Dragging us down ..laughing stock .
It’s Pantomime .

Comment #51If we didn’t have an owner with an ego the size of america, I would have doubled Rafa’s wages, bought Rondon and kept Perez as they both worked well with Almiron, rather than spunking 60M on Joe and St Max, but hey ho Charnley and Ash know best.

Comment #52Just thinking, why exactly did we pay £40 milloon for Linton? Not a great record, nobody else wanted him, but Ashley was willing to do something totally out of character to get him, hmm maybe theres something more to it all.

Comment #64Well, if the parasite wants to sell up, I think the price is going down by the minute. This is a relegation battle.
Look out for some devious moves to asset strip the club before he runs the club into the ground and goes for bankruptcy. Seems to be the fashion these days.

Comment #66Absolute shambles!!! If I state what I want to, I will be banned from the blog for life.
And if someone can answer me, who was the Rhodes scholar who just KNEW that Joelinton and
Saint Maximin would be the answer to all our goal scoring troubles? I was willing to give Bruce and his
“yes sir, no sir” ASSisitants 2 months to see how the team jelled. If they can’t even get them
interested in playing, why should I be a supporter? Someday, SOMEDAY, we will be proud to be supporters
again. Not that I won’t support, just feel that those who could give us a good team could really care less.

Comment #67Steve Bruce , I’m actually worried about him
He’s had enough stress this last 2 years and the torture that is coming his way might be best avoided . Health comes first Steve.
No one would blame Bruce if he walked now.

Comment #77This is probably the lowest I have felt as a Newcastle fan in years I just don’t know if I can take another season like this! We could easily end up with a Sunderland / Derby low points total this season!
Norwich probably couldn’t believe their luck when they realised we had NOTHING up front!! Both our fullbacks are slow so they just pushed theirs on knowing if we did manage to get past the first press they could easily catch Richie and Kraft cheese slice on the way back!
Shelvey and KI looked like old men they didn’t even bother chasing shadows now we can see why Rafa didn’t ever play them together Diame out of the older midfielders at least made tackles and won headers which allowed us to get a foothold in some games !
The only way for Bruce to redeem himself is to quickly realise his plan A is not going to work with the personnel we have and quickly move onto a 343 , 433 or a 4231
The back 3 we have now doesn’t look as solid as well we seemed to be getting pulled all over the place maybe going back to 2 centre halfs and making the game a bit more simple with Dummett and Manquillo as the fullbacks who then just stay back keeping us safe!!
Also what happened to this extra pace that we were supposed to have this season?
