Ki, Krafth, And Shelvey In Starting Eleven At Norwich City

Steve Bruce has announced his starting eleven for the today’s big match at Carrow Road.

As was reported earlier, Sean Longstaff is not in the first eleven but will be on the bench. The very experienced Ki Sung-yueng comes in for Sean in the midfield three alongside Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey.

Emil Krafth also comes in to make his debut at right wing-back with Javier Manquillo moving to the bench.

The rest of the team remains unchanged though Allan Saint-Maximin’s hamstring injury will not be risked as he is not in the team today.

This is the Norwich team that the lads will face this afternoon. It’s great to see Tim Krul back in the Premier League where he belongs.

Did Bruce tell the defenders to hoist it forward at every chance. Play the ball through Shelvey and Ki FFS.

Better pressing. Need more of that from Shelvey and Ki. Energy!

Krafth looks poor to average, and is quite slow for a wb. Joelinton also looks very slow today I thought he was faster than this. Ki has done nothing and is the reason we cant win a ball in midfield. This is pretty poor, we are gonna lose 3-0 at this rate.

Joelinton has to beat 3 defenders every time. What chance has he got.

Not watching the match. Just as well by all accounts. I’ll stick to the cricket. Not that that is any better. Steve Smith has opened up and is having a real go.

Wondering what our game plan is? We are not counterattacking as that requires both decent defending and attacking, neither of which we look capable of.

This formation is not going to work we don’t have the players to play it we need to go back to 343 pronto and have Almiron wide left with another player wide right similar to Perez which Muto could actually do

We don’t seem to be able to keep possession anyway regardless of what team we have out so we need to get back to being good on the counter

Better from us. Need to move forward as a team so Shelvey and Ki can get on it and make something 30-40 yards out from goal with plenty of players ahead of them.

Any reasons why Hayden is playinf so high and right? He needs to be our central box to box midfielder breaking up play

Norwich have had 77% possession, had some decent chances too with 5 or 6 injuries.

The set up doesn’t do us any favours at all, we’ll go down playing like this

Are Norwich Brazil or are we Grimsby? (Apologies to Grimsby) Absolutely nothing has stuck to Joelinton pre-miss. In big trouble this lot.

Do the players even know what they are expected to do? We have no game plan, just hope for the Best against there poor defence? If we play like this all season only points we will pick up is by pure luck against teams of lesser quality

This formation is supposed to be about getting the most out of Shelvey, but he’s not demanding the ball enough and looking to make an impression.

    Coasting.

When he does get it there’s nothing in behind for him to hit. Almiron keeps coming short and half the time giving it away.

    Play on Hanley’s shoulder ffs.
