Newcastle Entertainer Wants To Coach Magpies In The Future

David Ginola joined Newcastle from Paris St-Germain for £2.5m in the summer of 1995. He was on Tyneside for two entertaining seasons before moving to Tottenham in 1997 for a variety of reasons. One of which was the departure of Kevin Keegan as manager earlier in the year and his replacement Kenny Dalglish.

The mercurial Frenchman was known for his flair on the left wing if not his off the ball hustle. He made 66 total appearances for Newcastle with 7 goals.

In 1999 at the age of 32, Ginola would win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year along with the FWA Player of the year. He would leave Spurs a year later to join Aston Villa.

In total, Ginola played for four teams in the Premier League making 195 appearances with 22 goals.

David Ginola– the mercurial Frenchman

It appears that David may want to come back to Newcastle in another capacity in the future.

The Express have published some comments that Ginola made during an appearance on Back of the Net.

“I am currently going for my coaching badges. I would love [to manage Newcastle].

“That would be the challenge of my life… it would be the perfect situation. The perfect scenario.”

We would like to see how Ginola fares with some other clubs before him coming to Newcastle to coach. Though we imagine he would be a bit like Keegan in his tactical style as David never really like to track back and defend.

Ginola will always be remembered for his first season at Newcastle to the fans. He was part of the team affectionately dubbed the Entertainers, who were unable to hold off Manchester United for the title in his first season.

He remains a cult figure on Tyneside, and we would really like to see how he will do as a manager. .

    Be still my beating heart

But let’s wait until he’s managed a few clubs successfully which should give us time to get through a few more managers .

Munster or should I say Felonious the lump with three fingers that can only count two – you say Benitez “upped sticks to a crap league for bonkers money” It’s patently obvious you hate the guy so much you’d rather believe Lee Charley and Mike Ashley rather than listen to the words right from Benitezs mouth, words that are taking our fat twosome quite a while to reply to.

You also have done zip research into what the Chinese are trying to achieve with their whole football project from the ground up and how Rafa is involved in the grass roots of something that he will help kick start into something that may take a decade or so, such is his commitment to a job he considered for not just him but his whole staff btw.

Silly money? Maybe. His best offer? Not by a long chalk he said, he missed the boat on better ones waiting vainly for Ashley to come good (come good ha ha still a funny gag that one). So you will never know what big clubs did or didn’t come knocking for him and don’t lie by pretending you do.

Not your thing though is it Munster – thinking. Why not put away your smoke bombs about Benitez and come clean about your love of the walrus? You know you want to! 🙂

Get him in now, can’t be any worse than Bruce. Hasn’t got his badges? Doesn’t matter, he can just promise to do them later 🙂

    My team for Spurs.

    ………………………Dubravka.
    …………Scharr….Lascelles….Dummett.
    Manquillo….Hayden…..Longstaff……..Ritchie.
    ……….Muto……….Joelinton……..Almiron.

Krafth will probably get the nod at RWB, now that Bruce has made the decision to play him but to me Manquillo should never have been dropped.

Ki and Shelvey are nice players, but the midfield three isn’t working, and we need something a bit more physical and functional in the engine room, and a bit more support for Joelinton up top, and a more solid defensive shape in our first bank of defense.

I’d also be reasonably happy for Fernandez to come in for either Scharr or Dummett.

Tsunki, incorrect again. How do you keep doing it? When rafa went I said he fancied being manager of a strong chinese team. Catch up. Genius.

Munster Mag, just to take note Dalian Yifang F.C.is not even a strong team and in terms of financial they are not even top 3.

It’s the management persuasion, believe and of course money that have lead Rafa to the league.

Rafa likes to meet and have discussion clear the air whereas mike ashley loves to hide behind thick smokescreen.
