Training Ground Photos – Joelinton Back In Training But Saint-Maximin Still Out

Newcastle United have tweeted the following images from today’s training session. There is also a link for the full set of images in the tweet.

We see that Achraf Lazaar has taken no time in getting comfortable back at training. He has just returned from Italy where he failed to secure a move away. All of the players who did not make the squad are still being kept in the fold as Rolando Aarons, Jack Colback, and Henri Saivet can be spotted in these photographs. The only exception appears to be Jamie Sterry, who played with the under 23s earlier in the week.

It is also a relief to see Joelinton back and mixing it up with his teammates. He appears to be recovered from the hip injury suffered at Norwich. We would assume that he will get the start at Tottenham on Sunday.

The same cannot be said for Frenchman Allan Saint-Maximin, who has again missed the full training session. It was reported earlier today that he has been involved in light training since Monday. Allan has been spotted doing some work in the community as he is helping with the NUFC Food Bank.

Keith Downie, however, is reporting that Allan will return to full training later this week. We still don’t think it would be wise to risk him for Tottenham unless he is 100% fit.

Here is a tweet of four pictures showing Andy Carroll and Florian Lejeune on the training field. We can’t wait to see them return to full training. Andy should be ready shortly as his target date for his second debut with the club is between 4 and 5 weeks away. Florian does not have a return date yet as he still recovers from a second serious knee injury.

I see the U18 had a recent stuffing – losing 7-1 to Man City.

Afterwards the Citeh coach said ““I thought we were poor in the second period and not great in the first.”

Any idea if our coach was pleased?

All the aggression from match going fans is being directed at the wrong people.

It’s not your brothers sisters and friends who deserve your venom its Ashley.

If you’re going to go to the match atleast wear a JD carrier bag and spend 90mins supporting the team and calling Ashley out

I am not trying to speak for the majority and I’m not saying who is and is not a supporter.
I’ll say it again. More than 40 odd thousand still go.
They are not well represented on here.
Probably not willing to say much because of the likes of Boycottashley op.

Lets face it. Apart from Bills Son, Bobby and me you don’t hear from many who still go.

Posada I’d like to see this list of the many who want the club to fail. I’ve seen a few say they’d take relegation if it got rid of Ashley but that’s hardly treason seeing as Ashley can do that all on his Billy no mates.

I think you are one of those superfans who make up ludicrous sweeping hyperbole to sort of try and er… back up your. . Er…. What is your point?

Posada if these 40k of genuine fans (we will brush aside your “proper fans” or “real fans” in the gallowgate statement for the moment) exist then they probably are watching this blog – but in silence. Just like when they go to the match.

    Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

    You’ve answered your own question.

    Martoon’s blog contest are PREDICTIONS.

You asking who we are all going to blame if there is a low turnout and crap atmosphere at the Watford game is a QUESTION.

    And, I repeat…

    A bloody daft one.

And it’s a few seasons since i cancelled my ST, I was in section C of the Gallowgate (left hand corner half way up) and it was pretty disappointingly quiet a lot of the time, it was the back right hand corner made the noise but for the most part it took stand out days against the likes of Liverpool and Man U for example, to get the crowd going there. Both ends could sing up a bit when rallied but the mid section was like a crochet class for the deaf even then.

Someone said the lack of support would get us relegated. I doubt these days the players would know anyone was there unless they looked around. Thanks to Mike and his crew.
