Freddie Woodman Gets A Clean Sheet For Swansea

It was another start for Freddie Woodman as Swansea soundly defeated Birmingham City 3-0 at home today. Freddie has started all five games for Swansea as they remain unbeaten. The win also keeps them in an automatic promotion spot just behind Leeds on goal difference. It’ll be a big one next weekend as Swansea travel to Elland Road in a top of the table battle.

Woodman had a quiet day as Birmingham City were dominated by Swans, especially after the break. Birmingham failed to get a shot on target and were limited to just 4 all day.

Freddie gets his second clean sheet today, and it looks like Swansea City are truly in safe hands with him between the sticks.

If Ashley sees Woodman, Longstaff & Longstaff going on to be worth £20-60m the penny might drop that it’s worth investing money in the youth system. On the other hand he’ll think if it’s not broken why fix it and continue to rely on a great player coming through in our catchment area & our coaching staff not ruining them.

Let’s hear it for the team and the manager today folks.
They are mere employees of the guy who should be getting all the stick.
    Don’t let’s forget that.

Anybody else regretting we didn’t go all put for Harry Wilson. He’ll be 60-70 million before the season is over.

    Swemag,
It was plain to see. Look at these attacking players from the championship.
    Wilson,
    Mount,
    Abraham,
    McBurnie,
    Adams,
    James,
    Buendia,
    Aarons,
    Grealish.
    Maupay.
I’d expect everyone of them to succeed and be worth 25-80m. We could have brought in 3 of them instead of what we got. The English youths coming through now are the best in the world. We should be snapping them up before they are worth 50m+, not getting people who looked OK in p*ss poor French and German leagues for ridiculous prices who IF they are lucky and adapt and have a good season will then be worth the prices we paid and no more.
I can’t believe nobody bought Jarrod Bowen. I suggested Maximin a year ago, but he’s not worth half of most those players. Especially not when we’re in a relegation scrap.

There is something stinks about the Joelinton deal and the interview Ashley gave to Samuel in MoS where he was so scared of losing out on signing him. Ashley clamouring to spend, a reported (No chance!) £40m. Even if he’s spinning the wheel hoping to double his money I just don’t believe it’s all above board. No proof tbf just highly unusual behaviour from him.

Agreed I think there is something off about the Linton deal, the fact Ashley even said he was willing to put 20 million of his own money in to get him… Very strange to totally blow the previous record out the water on a player nobody else wanted and had a average scoring record at best… From a man who hates to spend money on players and has lost so many players because of him not wanting to pay an extra million or 2

    Trent,
Joelinton will never be worth £80m If he has a great season and gets 10-15 goals he might go up in value to £36m.

Joe isn’t worth 40 million from what we have seen
    Nobody else wanted him
Jabba is as crooked as a 9 bob note

It’s likely his deal is anything but a straight forward 40 million purchase

I hope Ashley did put that £20m in for Joelinton. To be fair he offered it to Benitez and not Bruce. Bruce is happy to accept any player at any price.
