“It’ll Take A Little Time” – Loan Manager Makes Statement On Sorensen

Elias Sorensen has yet to start a game for Carlisle United since he joined them a couple of weeks ago. It appears as though manager Steven Pressley is slowly working Elias into the side. Currently, he has made three substitute appearances and played a total of 90 minutes for the League 2 club.

Elias could get a starting nod this Saturday as Carlisle with play Scunthorpe. Pressley has preferred Olufela Olomola to Sorensen thus far. However, Olomola is on loan at Carlisle from Scunthorpe so will be unavailable to play on Saturday.

Steven Pressley gave an interview after Carlisle’s 2-1 defeat at Rochdale in the Carabao Cup last night. Elias came on for Olomola in the 64th minute and had a couple of excellent chances to score late in the game.

This is what Pressley said about Sorensen during his interview after last night’s game at Rochdale. His comments are in reference to a chance that Sorensen missed in injury time and come at the 5:25 mark in the interview:

“His goals will come because he’s getting into the positions. It’ll take a little bit of time, but his goals will come. I have real faith in that kid.”

We hope that Sorensen will start at home against Scunthorpe this Saturday. He needs to get more time on the pitch to continue his development, and it looks like this Saturday could be a timely opportunity for him to get a full game.

Below are some highlights of Carlisle match last night. The Sorensen chance occurs at the 1:45 mark in the video.

No international tv stations picking up the game tonight.

So highly unlikely we’ll get a link other than radio.

More chance of job getting a gravatar.

You have become a poster who seeks conflict
How you could suggest injuries rather than the no cup run club policy are the reason for us fielding a weak side tonight is beyond me.
Have you paid attention to what has been going on at the club for the last decade? Come on man. Excusing the Ashley policy will only result in many negative posts your way.

I reckon it will be a right damp squib of a game tonight, though i hope not for the fans who turn out. Seems a bit of a coincidence though , that we have all these injuries for the Carabao cup yet, most of the walking wounded will be ok for Saturday.
Hey Brucie, just admit you are,nt interested in doing well in any of the cups bcos finishing 15 to 17th is all you have been told to do.

To go on a cup run you need a good squad of players
We have just about a first team, with the minimum on the bench

With Jabba we won’t ever have s good enough of a squad
We’re an advert for his tat shops

Even if there were no other injuries it would be odds on that a few would occur prior to this game anyway. To be fair it would be madness with our squad to field anything but a weakened squad as there’s no chance we will go on a meaningful cup run with this squad. We can only hope Leicester will do the same to give us a fighting chance.

If we were to get into the 3rd round tonight
Our next game would be in the last week in September
between our PL games against Brighton at home and
Leicester away – both games on Sky.

    The numbers near 600000.

And it’s good to see that Catchy’s applied his wide-ranging analytical skills to the Br shenanigans. Such are his opinions on a major issue, they could be applied to his narrow views on Rafa.

Going to matches is of course your right and prerogative but knowing that many fans are boycotting and cancelled their STs, you seem to be taking great delight in seeing that tickets for the Watford game are selling. And you wonder why you’re seen as a cheerleader for Ashley.
