Two Italian Journalists Report Newcastle Left-Back Set To Join Serie B Club On Loan

Italian Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio has tweeted that Newcastle Left-Back Achraf Lazaar is set to join Cosenza in Serie B.

Another Italian Sky Sports reporter Dario Massara added that the move was on loan.

Lazaar still has two years left on his contract with Newcastle. It is likely that we will be revisiting this same scenario next summer with Achraf as well. He has made only ten appearances since joining three summers ago from Palermo. This will be his third loan move in his three years with the club.

If this move goes through, there will still be four players that the club need to move out before Monday. Rolando Aarons, Jack Colback, Jamie Sterry, and Henri Saivet all did not make the 25-man squad but remain with the club. With Newcastle bowing out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, there is no hope that they will be called upon for any first-team games. All four need to be moved off the wage bill in the next few days.

Lazaar played 4 times for Sheffield Wednesday last season and they won every one of those matches.

We’re gonna be stuck with him until his contract is up. Another loan next year with us paying his wages no doubt.

I don’t care if you, and others like Rafa, hate him, respect him etc. But many, including you, talk about how they like him with one side of their mouth while slating him every chance they get with the other side. We lost to Arsenal, no CM on bench and Willems doesn’t know where he is playing, and you praise Bruce because “at least he pressed”.

Rafa putting 10 men behind the ball against Man. City was an “embarrassment” yet you praised Bruce for the same thing against Tottenham. You then say you only criticized when we played defensive against lesser teams. Then you post this “Welsh I think we beat the last year. They had more possession I think but we won. Would take same tomorrow.” So if we play defensive and win its ok with Bruce but not with Rafa? Fair and balanced you say?

OMG….breaking news. A manager made a bad signing. Glad I got to see it in my lifetime, never would have thought it could happen.

No SD, wrong. SB made a balls of the substitution and I dont know what happened at Norwich but the players, and the manager, share that. I didnt say putting 10 behind the ball v City was embarrassing. I said hoofing the ball at the goalie from KO and then retreating was embarassing. I watched it with two non NUFC fans. They said they never saw anything like it. Also, I never blamed Rafa for going to places like Spurs and parking the bus. Somtimes it has to be done. There are subleties in what I am saying. Maybe you dont pick them up. Either way, I dont really care. What I criticised Rafa for, was not taking the game more to average teams, especially at home. Plenty of guys here agree on that, but probably wudnt say it consistently because of the noisy boys on here, but I dont give a stuff. Rafa was a fine manager for us and a great coup to get him, and silly to lose him. But that doesnt entitle him to papal infallibility and non critiquing. If you want to do that, off you trot. And bring Jail, Tarquin, Ron, Hibbitt, OP and the rest with you.

Cosenza were founded in 2011 athough they won the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1983 in a previous life.

dig a little deeper and you discover that the Anglo-Italian cup was only contested by 4 clubs in 1983 and the 2 English clubs were Wycombe Wanders who were in the Isthmian Premier league back then and Chelmsford City.

Nah SD, he made a few bad ones actually. But in credit overall. The key issue is that to bring up Lazaar and sals etc was shotdown. That’s the crux of my argument and always was, and the reason I bring it up a lot is that too many tools on here thought they could shout me off the blog . Every manager is entitled to errors.Look what a great signing Schar was. Who deserves the credit – Rafa ( and Nickson I assume) . see ? I aint all bad.

    Saivet and Lazaar.
    As we did with Obertan.
Just pay them off. Take the hit.

Charmless probably can’t bring himself to do it for some daft reason.
They probably show on his accounts as being worth 5M and 4M respectively.

Some good vocal support for the team on Wednesday from the SE corner.
    Will be the same tomorrow.

About a thousand unsold seats in upper Gallowgate. Quite expensive tickets for the view at £36.
Level 7 at £26 seem to be going ok although some gaps.

Would like to see Wor Flags get back.

We did beat Watford last year, but in all honesty they should of have won it by half time but they couldn’t hit a barn door that day…couldnt tell you who will win tomorrow, you would think after beating Spurs and barely giving them a sniff you would think Us…but this is Newcastle we could easily get hammered

    Jib@32

Of course Ashley’s diverted revenue away from the club to other companies in the MASH/ SD family.

    Perhaps you could explain:

Why merchandise is now routed via SD?

Why the Club shop’s now SD?

Why NUFC pay SD millions for warehousing kits etc? Why NUFC will probably only receive a pittance on kit sales (ala Rangers) from SD?

I’m sure there’s more examples even you could come up with

And to respond to a few who questioned whether I want the team to win -:most definitely yes

    And

Would I prefer to see an empty soul-less SJP on match days – definitely not BUT

What might help move Ashley on is those blind, compliant fans who insist on attending when a boycott’s called for, to support the boycott. They’ll be few and far between and if tens of thousands of loyal fans missed out on the odd televised game it would send out a helluva a message throughout the world – that Ashley’s bleeding the club dry and taking the pi$$ out of its loyal supporters.

Is missing the odd game asking too much of those ultra loyal fans who seem to be delighted that tickets are selling? Or is their loyalty being exploited by Ashley with the help of his media chums?
