Freddie Woodman And Former Magpie Take Swansea Top – How Did Our Other Lads Fare?

Freddie Woodman started again for Swansea City in their stunning 0-1 victory at Leeds United. This puts Swansea top of the Championship and it was former Magpie Wayne Routledge who scored the 90th minute winner.

This is a third clean sheet for Freddie Woodman as Swansea remain unbeaten this season.

Elias Sorensen got his first start for Carlisle in their 0-1 win at Scunthorpe. However, Elias was pulled off at halftime for Ryan Loft who scored the winning goal.

Jacob Murphy started from then bench in Sheffield Wednesday’s 1-2 loss against QPR at Hillsborough. He was brought on in the 76th minute but it was not enough for the Owls to get a result.

Dan Barlaser started another match for Rotherham United though he only lasted until the half before being replaced. Rotherham drew 1-1 at home against Tranmere.

Liam Gibson came in as a second half substitute for Grimsby Town in their 1-3 win at Walsall. Liam has struggled to get on the pitch for Grimsby after suffering an injury in pre-season.

Kelland Watts made his fourth start in the league for Stevenage as they battled Macclesfield to a 2-2 draw at home.

Nathan Harker was on the bench for Blyth Spartans in their 2-0 defeat at Leamington. Former Newcastle youngster Callum Roberts made his debut for Blyth.

He must have been caught offside 5 times today. Think I’d put him on the wing and put Atsu just behind the striker. Almiron always has to start. Will come good.

    Bobbybee,
I watched on IPTV and the Gallowgate seemed quite noisy.

    Jib,
The aim is survival this season, is that fair?

I think at the moment, we should be looking at mid-table. There’s some poor teams in this league. We have a better squad than Man U. I expect them to finish in the bottom half this season. Sold their best players in Lukaku and Sanchez and haven’t replaced them. Suicidal that.
