Hatem Ben Arfa Issues Strange Statement About Turning Down Multiple Offers

Hatem Ben Arfa posted a statement online that has been picked up by the Daily Mail.  The statement from Ben Arfa gives his reason for not joining a club this summer.

We did a report earlier today as to what Ben Arfa’s options were. However, we were incorrect that he could not sign for a league whose transfer window closed yesterday. Hatem can still sign for one of those clubs as long as they have an available squad spot since he is a free agent.

Though that is not the case for Jack Colback, Jamie Sterry, or Henri Saivet who must remain at Newcastle, or join one of the clubs whose transfer window is still open.

These are the transfer windows that are still open:

  • UAE Pro League is open until September 30th.
  • Portuguese Premeira Liga is open until September 21st.
  • Russian Premier League is open until Friday.
  • The Bulgarian and Romanian windows are open until Sunday.
  • The Australian A-League starts play in October and their window closes on October 15th.

It does not look like Hatem is too bothered about not finding a club as his statement was brief but reeked of hubris.

This statement translates to:

“No challenge that has been proposed to me has excited me.

“It’s like with a woman, if she does not excite you, skip it my brother”

Hatem Ben Arfa is now 32-years-old.  It would be sad if this is how his promising career ends.  But really won’t be too surprising.

He’s a free agent – he can join who he wants , when he wants

He can join who he wants, when he wants, as long as they want him.

However, whoever signs him cannot play him, I don’t think they can even play him if they have a free squad slot as the squads have been registered with the Premier League already.

I’m not sure teams can add to their squads mid season

Rafa could get away with having a poor start last season, where as previous managers didnt.

    Its BS

    Great player, serious character flaws.

People probably said the same of Picasso, Mozart and Einstein.

Lilo is fast becoming the best poster on the blog as everything he is writing is fair and balanced with only lunatics like Toon22 disagreeing.

I still think if you released all defensive responsibility from Hatem and played to his strengths he would have been phenomenal.

Apologies for a political warning of great importance.

Was watching the telly last night and the leader of the SNP at Westminster – Ian Blackburn – reported that there would be shortages of water in the event of a no deal Brexit. Shocking and very worrying news.

I just do not know what to do – and worry about how to fill my swimming pool with fresh water, water the lawns and water the fruit trees in my orchard.

RobLeenio – got the grass cutting sorted. I ‘ve got a John Deere tractor with front cutters – cutting width is about 5 feet. So when the gardener comes around it only takes him about two hours to cut the lawns.

    You should not be jealous.

moanster – he said I interfere with children – he justified this by saying it was in response to me saying he wore womens clothes.

He has also referenced my granddaughter a couple of times recently – with the innuendo plain to see.

I take the p**s out of Jib, him alone – not his family. I would not stoop so low as – suggesting people on here interfere
    with children.
