Two Newcastle Lads Score For Their Nations Today With Another Two In Action

Mo Sangare came on as a 75th minute substitute for Liberia in their World Cup Qualifying match against Sierra Leone. The score was knotted at one apiece when in the 82nd minute Sam Johnson was brought down in the box. Sangare got the call to take the penalty and coolly slotted it into the left corner. This was Mo’s first goal for Liberia. The two nations meet again on Sunday in the second leg at Sierra Leone.

Miguel Almrion played the full ninety minutes in Paraguay’s international friendly at Japan. Yoshinori Muto was not part of Japan’s squad. In a poor performance, Almiron and Paraguay lost 2-0. They will next face Jordan on Tuesday in another friendly. Let’s hope Miggy sits that one out.

Fabian Schar and former Magpie Kevin Mbabu got starts in Switzerland’s World Cup Qualifier at the Republic of Ireland. It was our man Fabian Schar who scored on another well-taken strike from inside the box to put the Swiss up 0-1. Ireland would be able to even to score later on as the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Switzerland host Gibraltar in their next match on Sunday.

Here is a look at Fabian’s goal for Switzerland.

Sweden were up 0-4 at the half against the Faroe Islands when Emil Krafth came on for Mikael Lustig. Sweden ended up winning the World Cup Qualifier by the same score. They next face Norway on Sunday.

Jail just because Krafth is a more defensively sound full back does not mean he cannot perform a good job in the wing back position. This is after all the same formation Rafa played when they scouted him.

I agree with you (I said it in my original response) that Bruce would have walked in and got what was already being progressed.

One of the worst refs I’ve ever witnessed in the match between my home country Gibraltar vs Denmark! Never a penalty against Jack Sergeant for their third. It was a perfectly timed tackle. Shocking decisions going against us. Fuming. If you can check it out. How do refs not get punished for sh1t like that!?

BTW great goal by Schar, what a beauty, no one would say he’s a CB in the way he coolly slotted the ball in the bottom corner there.

Wonder what Schar would be like in a CDM/CM role. Has all the attributes but wouldn’t really want to see him out of our back line (possibly when Lejuerne returns).

Repost – this is important, to me anyway.

Anyone suggesting that Ed is pro-Ashley is so far wide of the mark it’s untrue. He’s just recently had to take time away from the blog because he was so distressed at the state of the club.

Just because fans of NUFC do not support any kind of protest against the club, it does not make them pro-Ashley. They are just fans with a different perspective.

This us and them has to stop, it’s completely playing into Ashley’s hands.

Martoon, think you and I are agreed on this.`
    roblenio
Wasn’t suggesting ED is bot pro ashley ..he has often written many articles on how badly the club is run by those under ashley etc.
However ED is firmly in the lets not rock the boat or upset Micheal (nust) camp.
He has always either being anti protest or apathetic towards any form of dissent .
possibly he thinks that all this mess will somehow just go away on its own.
i know he has been approached on many occasions to help get publicity out about planned protests and boycotts and has not even responded .
make of that what you will.
Nust may be doing some stuff in the community and good on them but when it comes to taking on Ashley and co they are the peoples front of Judea.
Got caught up in the fervor after rafa left and took the life member option …no idea why ,wish i had just giving the cash to a more deserving charity here to be honest.
what has made me laugh in the last few days is the amount on here who are pulling up this idea and that idea but then saying genikai do this or do that for us ..het maybe try this genikai try this to get him out for US !
    Absolutely shameful.
Although overseas and therefore not “local” so not allowed to have thoughts on the “locals club” i have done more and archived more behind the scenes from 12,000 km away that many in the north east are doing sitting on there arses hoping someone else will do it for them .
ED moans about Ashley..yes but is prepared to do zero in helping those groups trying to change nufc for better.
and running a football website to me it gives you the perfect opportunity to facilitate change quickly .but hey it might drop the click rate if anything pro was stated that could be construed as pro boycott Ashley.

the point Ed or Neil (whoever wrote the article) made the other day about match boycotts is that it does not help the team from a financial point of view which seems a fair point whether you agree or not. i think even Genji said he is against boycotting matches as a form of protest.

I made a post to Irish Rob in a light hearted way , it was picked up on by my old sparring partner and mate Ruddy ..accused of xenophobia! Munster joining in .

And your saying if I can’t see what’s wrong with that ?

Scuse fking me but what is wrong with mentioning Leprachauns? In a light hearted post !

Your all touchy and pathetic if that’s deemed as an insult .

I made the post to Rob with no intention of offending and this after a nasty post to me when he said I should take the stick out of my Arse and just laugh at Jibs seriously offensive comment to Tuff..

You need to address that not me for mentioning fking Leprechaun’s.

Tell me what’s wrong with talking about Leprechauns ! They don’t even exsist ! Do dey ?

No jane never said i was against boycotts.
Boycotts are the ultimate form of protest. That if we emptied the stadium something would give.
What i do truly believe in is forming a protest outside sjp, protesting at ashley events, disrupting his networks, if you go to the match you go to the match, but at the match again i would want a protest at the match aswell.
Ashley out banners, chants of ashley out all match.
Supporters buying the alternative kit, making sure they buy no merch from ashley.
A total boycott of ashley is in order and that what i am personally doing.
Personally i think ashley dished out alot of free tickets for boycott arsenal and the true figure would of been nearer Watford numbers without those free tickets.

Of course it’s not the abusers that get blamed for any ensuing trouble they have caused in the first instance , the catalysts for trouble. it’s the people that come back at the trouble makers that are pilloried and abused in the aftermath ..all you trouble making abusers of others here can fk off.

And before You prove my point ..remember who started any particular argument ..thats who you should be addressing …not any person that has reacted to an idiot who dished it out first .

    Leprachauns . Bloody hell !

I’m going to have another Voodoo Doll session soon ..next full moon .

The last one we had and coupled with Bills spells… Ashley received a £600 million pound tax bill and SD shares crashed ..all the very next day.

Seriously though , I’m now looking at the amount of Football clubs Ashley has his greedy hands in ..think it’s 4 now with us and 3 football league sides and a 5th with a Scottish lower league side ..think Lambias (Ash Lackey) is ensconced in that one ..then there is Rangers , who receive £1 per Shirt sold and Ashley takes the rest £64 ! via SD as you are aware of. Exploitation at the worst level I have seen apart from bank robbery.

Before long and before a lot of football officials realise what is going on he will have the merchandising for at least ten clubs ..each club in turn losing revenue to Ashleys SD and personal fat bank account in turn .

These clubs will suffer long term as they loose money on their merchandising because of Ashley making inroads with some kind of bail out.

He is a Vulture who cares not a jot about any club he is involved in ..just the money .

Football needs to beware…he’s at large ..Oldham Athletic next.

The above is without doubt Ashleys agenda .

It needs addressed by gov’t .

He’s picking off clubs by bailing them out with loans and sponsorship and making inroads with his avaricious hunger for each clubs merchandising ..thus gaining control and deal making with each club by strapping them financially to long term deals in his favour .

What comes with that is the demise of each club as he milks them .

Needs looking at before he gains too much power ..Its too late for Rangers and Newcastle United .

How unlucky are we to have a triple billionaire owner who takes money away from Us ?

You say that we have legislation on the way, but that bill has only had its first reading in the House of Commons.
There’s another 10 steps it has to go through before it becomes law (btw, the second reading hasn’t even been scheduled yet) and private members bills very rarely get written into law.

Not being negative (cos I actullay support it) but just being realistic

    Reflection of society????

Cap’n, where would you place Mt Tuff in there?

And Jib? Mmm, you’d have to create a new category.

And Oldgit? Is there such a category as ‘really should get out more’

Online – I was going to post a link of a band you might like but had second thoughts as Oldgit wouldn’t have approved cos he won’t have heard of anyone apart from Cliff Richard, Ken Dodd or even Alfie Bowe.
