Four Loan Boys In Action – Sorensen Does Not Feature Again As Gibson Gets A Full 90

Dan Barlaser, unfortunately, only got on in injury time for Rotherham at Sunderland tonight. Though, the game ended 1-1 in what Sunderland will see as two points lost. So we are sure that Dan had some influence on his teammates even if it was mostly from the bench.

Elias Sorensen did not get on the pitch again in Carlisle’s 0-0 draw at home to Forest Green. This is turning into another disappointing loan spell for the youngster who will turn 20 years old tomorrow. He has played just 113 minutes through four appearances. In his only start at Scunthorpe, he was pulled at half-time. He has now not featured in Carlisle’s last two matches.

Kelland Watts made his eighth straight start for Stevenage in a 0-1 loss at home to Northampton. Stevenage remain bottom of the League 2 table.

Liam Gibson made his second straight start at Salford City this evening. The Mariners lost the match 1-0 but Liam has played his first full match in the league. This is good progress for Liam who has struggled to get into the Grimsby side since returning from a pre-season injury.

At one point I was holding one of the large placards and giving sheep bleats to those going into SJP. One guy told me to stop aggravating them, but I was so angry. Most of the time I was stood under an umbrella trying to stay dry. It didn’t work. At least I can be considered to be one of the 300 who marched to the stadium.

The Carlisle manager was blowing smoke up his ass a few weeks back. Very strange.

If by finance they mean chucky the club for income not yet received anyone could do it, you me a monkey in a tree, look I’m getting all that tv money, giz a loan..

    Seems a pointless criteria

The good thing about that weekend was that I met up with my best friend from school ( a Mackem). We used to go to games together if we were not playing for our own teams. Met up with Gary Robson, Bryans brother, in Chester le Street and visited Durham. I had a nice few days, apart from the rain.

I didn’t know about a boat party. Apart from seeing my old pal, I spent most of the time just walking about and watching footy in the pubs or in the hotel I used on the Quayside.

I was interviewed on the day, but it was by students from Newcastle University. Probably just part of their degree requirements.

Jail unfortunately I am not local or I would certainly attend. I am scratching my head to why Ashley needs a loan and it won’t be to fund SD as toon22 likes to put it but clearly there is a cash flow shortage for some reason. I also see people suggesting we owe Ashley 144m when in fact that was the long term and short term loan together and he paid back the short term loan. We only have the long term loan of 111m left owed to fatman.

Has anyone got a link to articles declaring this loan and I’ll take a look?

The only way this makes sense is either he has decided to pay a portion of the long term loan back or they have identified a very big outlay before end of Jan comes ( I believe this is when tv money is paid). They done this function to pay for Almiron last year. There should still be about 18m from overall kitty available though.

Get S-O-R-E-N-S-E-N back now he’s wasting his time at Carlisle and the U23s could use him and he’s available for the 1st team.

    Bill,

I guess the distinction comes from the fact that a business and an owner (of that business) are two distinct entities.
Anyway…..seems silly to get into the pedantic nature of such things, there is plenty of that on this blog without you and I getting involved 🙂

NY Mag what do you think will happen?

Shola’s job description as Loans Co-radiator as defined by Ashley:

Just get as many off the payroll as possible!

He’s done Sorensen no favours and the kid should be brought back in and training with the first team.
