Newcastle United have released the official team photo for the 2019-20 season. What a great group of lads we have here.
The club also tweeted a 2-minute video of the players getting ready for the photoshoot. It’s an uneventful video though we think we see Allan Saint-Maximin rubbing his hamstring at the :38 second mark. He also appears to be walking gingerly after the photograph is taken but knowing Allan we are sure it is for dramatic effect.
? This is what happened behind the scenes as Newcastle United’s 2019/20 team photograph was taken at the Magpies’ training ground yesterday… #NUFC pic.twitter.com/0bwHUEoIvf
— Newcastle United FC (@NUFC) September 20, 2019
We also see that Henri Saivet is involved in the group photo and he’s smiling away. The Chronicle are reporting that Jack Colback and Jamie Sterry declined to be involved. All three players did not get squad numbers this season and therefore are ineligible to appear in the Premier League.
We think it’s a nice photograph and it’s good to see some of the players coming back from injury amongst their teammates. It’s also a kind gesture on the club’s part to offer the lads who did not make the squad an opportunity to be involved.

The new Sports Minister @nadams has replied to me on financial transparency & fan engagement @ #NUFC. He says he is “concerned about ownership issues” & “will be paying very close attention to the management of football clubs”. We’ll hold him to that!

Comment #5Rafa was potentially not just the saviour of this club, but our future heartbeat, the soul of a post-Ashley revival. I was gutted to see him walk away this summer, in what was the culmination of years of callous neglect.
I would have been happy to see him lead our team from strength to strength for years to come, be given the freedom of the city and would have taken my grandkids, if I’m lucky enough to have any, to see his statue alongside sir bobby’s on match days.
However, I always hoped in that championship season, he would name Gayle up top alongside Mitrovic. I knew intellectually why he didn’t, I could even justify it in my head, and the instant promotion he guided us to proved the methods he lived by and the decisions he made were absolutely spot on.
I just would have liked to have seen a big guy, small guy combination from time to time.

Surprising that Taylor used a sentence at the end of the article
as its title.
To say that Ashley was directly involved in his retention is risible.
It smacks more of Lee Charnley cutting a club hero more slack than was wise.

You’ve been kidnapped. Your kidnappers allow you to keep tweeting to pretend everything is alright. What would you tweet that would alarm your followers without the kidnappers knowing you’re asking for help?

Comment #24Do you want to know why the minster of sport is looking into newcastles affairs.
Because of the work of the magpie group.
A lad got in contact through email to contact@magpiegroup.org saying i live in his constituency what questions do you want to ask as he has a duty to respond to me.
As toon 22 says we wrote a letter to him, through this bloke.
Also i got in contact with chi before i was in the magpie group and have met her personally on a few occasions through the magpie group.
Everyone has a part to play.
Keep the pressure up, stress breaks metal, metal is harder than ashley, stress will break ashleys empire.

Comment #35Toon22 you do realise that the bill you have just linked to and everything mentioned around it there was no mention of Ashley and Newcastle? Did it even pass through parliament? The bill is aimed at clubs like Bury and Bolton. The things you listed don’t hold any water. Do you think owners are forced to pump money and invest in the club lol.

Comment #38Asset stripping – list all the assets he has sold off?
No fans forum- this is not required by law or FA and some will say is the responsibility of Charnley.
No investment – not required by law or FA
Selling land for public use – what was the public use agreed for the land I thought it was a hotel at one point? It’s his land he can do what he wants just like any company. Can you show where the money went out of the club in the accounts?
