This is reportedly Manchester United’s traveling squad for Sunday’s match at St James Park. As you can see there are some big names missing from the team.
Travelling #mufc squad for Newcastle:
De Gea, Romero, Grant.
Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe, Rojo, Young, Williams
McTominay, Matic, Fred, Mata, Gomes.

It looks like there will be no Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, or Jesse Lingard in the side to face Newcastle. Both Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw had already been ruled out with hamstring injuries.

This is a great opportunity for Newcastle to get three points from a struggling Manchester United side that has been weakened even further through injury. They are currently in tenth place after spending almost £150m in the summer.
We expect that both DeAndre Yedlin and Allan Saint-Maximin will get significant minutes Sunday. Both have recently been declared fit by Steve Bruce.
Saint-Maximin did not play last weekend after making his return against Brighton two weeks ago. Yedlin played for the first time since April last Sunday at Leicester.
This is what Steve Bruce said on Friday about facing his former club:
“Yes, they might not be the Manchester United of the past, but they’ve still got some very good players and we’re going to have to be better than we were last week.
“It’s a wonderful time to play them because it’s a full house live on TV. If you have to bounce back against anybody, what better way than against them?
“I don’t think I’ve ever beaten them, which is a worry, of course. I had the privilege to play there for a long time. It was a long time ago, but they’re one of the great clubs of Europe.
“It’ll be a big occasion and we have to make sure we’re ready for it. We’ve played badly in a couple of games, but we’re capable. We’re going to have to play well on the day.
“At Spurs, the resilience was there for everybody to see. For some reason, we lost that last week.”
If there was ever a time to turn the season around, it is on Sunday. The Red Devils have not won in their last ten away matches.
Though as Steve Bruce says he has never beaten them. We suppose a draw would extend both streaks. But we want more than that on Sunday.
We are desperate for three points which would see us climb out of the relegation zone right before the international break.

- Loss (59%, 1,040 )
- Win (25%, 437 )
- Draw (16%, 272 )

With Ash and Charnley trying to save face and embaressment because of the natural way the supporters are staying away, giving extra tickets to Man U fans in the home supporters end could lead to tragedy and the afore mentioned pair charged with gross negligence and who knows what crime… many a supporter in the wrong end has ended up maimed or at worst knifed.
Has Mike Ashley no shame or common sense ?

Yeah, I’ve been getting a bit of praise for sticking predominantly to football recently, oddly enough, considering it’s a football blog. 🙂
Plenty of things going wrong on the pitch. Plenty of things going wrong off the pitch behind it all. The two sides of a poorly minted coin.
Can’t talk about the football without reference to the way the club is run. Cause and effect.

it’s not likely that any Man U fan would be attacked at Newcastle United even when amongst our supporters as we are a 100% decent bunch when it comes to entertaining supporters from other clubs .
Saying that above , its not the done thing to place opposing support in with home supporters.

Nobody has a go at Toon22 for stating the bleeding obvious. Everyone knows who’s to blame for the state of our club. What people have a go at him for is conflating opinions when people disagree with him on smaller points. And when someone disagrees, he has the arrogance to accuse them of supporting Ashley or being part of his PR campaign. NOBODY does, not one fan! Its impossible to have civil discourse with him because he poisons any chance of a healthy debate with his contant berating of bloggers who decide to spend their own money to watch a game. He attacks anyone who has any hope that maybe this time the club will be sold. I for one no longer have faith that we’ll be sold, but some do and that’s okay.

How on earth do you conclude that bracketing Jiblets with three other proven liars in Trump, Johnson and Ashley is ‘left wing politics’?
Your visionary comments are up there with Bettysbollocks’.
