There was a report a few days ago that Newcastle may be interested in bringing Lewis Gibson back this summer. Gibson left his hometown club two years ago and signed a three year deal with Everton.
The 19-year-old left for a better chance of first-team football at Everton. However, he is no where close to breaking through at Goodison Park. He also reportedly had issues with Under-23’s coach Peter Beardsley, who is no longer employed at Newcastle.
Gibson’s contract runs out in the summer, so there could be a chance that Newcastle will try to bring him back on a free.
There is another 19-year-old local lad who we would also like to see Newcastle pursue. He is Leeds United left-back Leif Davis. Davis signed for Leeds in 2018 from League 2 club Morecambe. He joined Morecambe from Wallsend Boys Club and was born in Newcastle.
Leif Davis– making his debut for Leeds
Davis has described himself as a modern day attacking left-back. However, due to only having three recognized center-backs, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has converted the youngster to that position. In his two Carabao Cup starts this year, Davis has been utilized in the center of defense.
Now Leeds captain Liam Cooper will be sidelined with a groin injury for up to six weeks so Davis is likely to feature more at center-back.
Leeds are also chasing another 19-year-old left back in Coventry City’s Sam McCallum. They are linked with making a move for him in January. If that happens, we wonder what that means for Leif Davis.
Leeds have recently signed a slew of their youngsters to new long-term deals but Davis was not one of them.
His contract runs out in the summer of 2021. With him listed at only 5’6″, he surely has no future at the heart of the defense. If Leeds bring in the Coventry City left-back while they already have England U-21 international Tom Pearce on the books, what does it all mean for Davis?
We think Newcastle should monitor his situation and see if they can bring him back to Tyneside.
While this is all food for thought, as Steve Bruce likes to say, it will be interesting to see how his situation progresses at Leeds.

Comment #2A friend of mine who is getting on in years now was making his way home after a lock in at his local. A policeman spotted him and went to check he was ok. Are you ok sir he asked ? ,it’s quite late for you to be walking the streets.
My friend told him that he was on his way to a seminar about the harmful affects of alcohol.
The copper said, ” Really sir are you sure you’re not pulling my leg? Who would do that at this time of night? ”
My friend sighed, ” My Wife”

“Are they WC qualifiers” Jibbers, the World Cup is every four years and there was one last year, you know the one played in Russia, Southgate was the manager, it’s different to the Euro’s where only teams from Europe and some cross continent countries are also allowed, that’s every four years as well and Southgate is the manager there as well. I hope that clears up your confusion.

Comment #4Sometimes the audacity of Jib has to be beholded. He was recently caught in the act with another woman when his missus walked in on them. Brazen Jib just slapped her on the ass and said , “You’re next baby.”

I think you were pre warned that you would be getting a ban to reflect on your behaviour, giving you the chance to tell us you were going on a self imposed exile, you couldn’t help yourself and posted as mallorca mag, your comments appeared a week later under moderation still, hence them appearing randomly in amongst earlier posts.
