How Did Our European Internationals Do In Today’s Qualifiers?

Fabian Schar was awarded his 53rd cap for Switzerland this evening as they battled the Republic of Ireland in the 2020 Euro qualifiers.

Schar played the entire 90 minutes in Switzerland’s big 2-0 win against Group D’s top placed team. The Swiss now move just a point behind both the Irish and Denmark who are both on 12 points.

Switzerland and Denmark both have a game in hand on the Republic of Ireland.

Emil Krafth was an unused substitute as Sweden almost pulled off a big win against Group F leaders Spain. Krasnodar’s Marcus Berg opened the scoring in the 50th minute for Sweden. However, deep into stoppage time Valencia striker Rodrigo leveled the game for the visitors.

Spain maintain their 5 point advantage over Sweden in the group. However, the Swedes remain in 2nd place.

IrishRob – More than one person seemed to have concerns regarding me editing posts, so that’s why I addressed “Everyone” and not you directly. It wasn’t meant as a slight against you; I was being inclusive. 🙂

geordietom – I saw your questions. All I’ll say is that alts have been found and Neil and I have done the best we can to deal with that issue.
