Our Predicted Lineup For Wolves With Five Ruled Out

This is the team we think Steve Bruce will go with for Sunday’s match against Wolves. There is just the one forced change from the Chelsea match with Federico Fernandez coming in for the injured Fabian Schar.

In addition to Schar, Steve Bruce will be without Andy Carroll, Matt Ritchie, Florian Lejeune, and Isaac Hayden.

We don’t think Bruce will drop anyone for this game. Unfortunately, we don’t see a place for Paul Dummett in the team. Federico Fernandez is likely to get the nod over Schar with him being right-footed.

The substitute bench is starting to look a little thin again, but there should be enough to make an impact if needed.

Darlow, Krafth, Dummett, Shelvey, Atsu, Gayle, Muto

What Will Be The Result Against Wolves At St James Park?

  • Win (43%, 494 )
  • Loss (35%, 410 )
  • Draw (22%, 255 )

Why are we without Andy Carrol ?
Is he taking time off for early xmas shopping or painting his kitchen ?
I mean what other excuse could he have ?

I’d go 4-4-2 with Schar injured.

Lots of natural width and get bodies piling in the box. High press, high intensity.

Dougie from earlier – you really are a happy chappy! I thought we had declared a blog truce on name calling people who boycott or people who who still attend matches as they are both doing what they think is right?

To be a successfull manager nowadays you have to have a beard ..all the top managers have them .

The Wolves manager has a good one ..he keeps a pet sparrow in it…I seen it pop out when Wolves scored against City .

Klopp and he wears it well , little out of time but that’s all right.. (Rodney)

Memo to Bruce..grow beard and Almiron will start scoring .

Newcastle will start winning. Bearded Bruce.

I’m looking forward to the game on Sunday. Shame about Schar being injured, we’ll miss him obviously, being possibly our best player, but we’ll just have to cope.
Last weekend we were overrun in midfield in the second half. This is bound to happen with both Longstaff’s adapting to the PL. Some games they’ll shine and others they’ll go missing, but persevering with them is the best way forward imo, unless they get into a rut. The more they play the better they’ll get and consistency will come. Showing confidence in them after a quiet game can only help too. I expect more of a Manure type performance on Sunday than a Chelsea one from the brothers. If we win the midfield battle we can get a positive result.

dougie – I’ve explained this many times but here it is once more. I’m on DD and had to decide last February whether to renew – at that time we had just beaten City and the signs were that Rafa was staying so I renewed. Therefore I’ve already paid my money whether I go or stay away so I choose to go and support the team. I don’t buy from anything else associated with Ashley – next February I will have a decision to make?
