Fabian Schar spoke to Sky Sports on Wednesday and had quite a positive view of Newcastle’s season and potential for improvement.
Fabian did not mention his knee injury in the report or what his status would be for Saturday’s match at West Ham.
However another Sky Sports reporter, Keith Downie, also interviewed the 27-year-old defender. Downie gave the following update on Schar’s return from his knee injury.
Just interviewed Newcastle defender Fabian Schär. Seems upbeat about severity of his knee injury, but seems very unlikely he’ll play against West Ham this weekend #NUFC

This is disappointing that one of our best players is likely to miss a second straight game. However, Fede Fernandez came in for Schar against Watford and was outstanding.
The 30-year-old Argentine was stout in his defensive duties while putting in the lethal cross that Jamaal Lascelles headed home for the first half lead.
This is another great opportunity for Fernandez who never lets Newcastle down.

Sometimes you need to take a punt, do you think Rafa was unaware of James Madison, we got Jacob Murphy instead. There was a reason one was 20M and the other 11M. How much each one now

Comment #85NY is one of these damned awkward stick in the muds that thinks that if something isn’t entirely true, then it probably isn’t viable.
Likes it when things hold water.
I put it down to good parenting and good schooling. 🙂
