Players Flock To Social Media With Similar Message

Well, it’s always a lot better after a win. Especially one where the lads played so well. We almost couldn’t believe our eyes in the first half as Newcastle put on some show.

While it wasn’t the rout it could have been, Newcastle were on the front foot for most of the game. They were able to get 9 shots on target which equaled the total of the 5 previous matches combined. It was some turnaround in the attack.

The players deserve their credit after claiming our third win of the season. The win pulls Newcastle 4 points from the relegation zone and 4 points behind next weekend’s opponents Bournemouth in seventh place.

It shows you the importance of wins in this league. None in the bottom three have a win in their last 5 matches with last place Watford still waiting for their first of the year.

It’s getting the three points when you can that is vital to staying out of trouble. That was the message coming from the players after the game.

Some took to social media expressing the importance of the 3 points.

Shelvey’s first goal from a free kick I would never have thought that was the case!

    Hail,
I’m not going to argue who knows football better. It is a waste of both our time. There were positives in todays performance. But we have played better, and we have played worse.

Your response to my posts offer no real argument. Really difficult to offer reasoned arguments based on the game when the first reply is just name calling….

The potential of this squad is frightening!
ASM is awesome; Miggy needs a coach and Joelinton needs a bit of luck.
Fcuk the owner I just love the toon !

3 up at half time when it should have been 5 except for the ineptitude of our attackers.Once again the centre backs are our most valuable attacking threat.Almiron and Joelinton wouldn’t get a start in a Championship top six team.Pellegrini will be the next one sacked imo.West ham were woeful for 60 mins.At least we’re 15th now but the parasite will be delighted. If we keep up this rich vein of form not a penny wil be spent in January.Maximun looks handy and if he keeps on improving a team with ambition from the top ten will be looking to grab him.And of course that’s what Sports Direct exists for.

We were not 3-0 up at half time.

You spend most of your time on here telling us that our squad is championship, and we uave the worst manager.

We win today, and Pellegini is terrible and should be sacked. West ham are awful….

Yes It was Shelveys 1st goal from a free kick but only in the Premier league.

He did actually score from a free kick in pre season against Preston.

Lascelles reaction to their first goal, so agressive, so vehement. Same again 2 minutes later wjen they got a chance. I have stood up for Bruce, given him time, but there was something in those exchanges which showed cracks.

    NY,
At half time in the ground, we were all talking about needing a third as we had just started to sit back and the third wins it, because we all had confidence we wouldn’t concede 3.

On ocassions we broke well, but we sat to deep for most of the game, even before the goals.

I get no benefit from saying we were amazing. We sat and let them come at us. We held on to points last week doing the same.

I couldn’t really pick our best player or MoM for today. I expect it will be St Max, cause he excites, but he had 2 chances today, which he took so poorly. Even without scoring, his shape and strike of the ball were poor.

I do love this blog, we win and it should be champagne and caviar, just seems some love to argue.
This is why the blog loses good people each year, just feels if Newcastle won the league there would still be some more worried about arguing than celebrating.
For me, Howay the lads, good win, some nail biting towards the end but that why we love the toon, they keep it interesting.

    NY,
I’m not sure how many people picked up on it. The ball it the back of the net for their first, and Lascelles was screaming at Bruce (or that direction) with arms spread. They had a great chance within the next couple of minutes, and Lascelles did the same again.

Bruce then spoke to Joelinton, who went down within the bext minute or so, and the physio came on. Lascelles then had a conversation with Bruce. St Max was off just moments later.

There are various ways to look at this, most are not positive. St Max came off within minutes, if that was what Lascelles was wanting

Firstly (mainly), Bruce should be stronger than dictated to.

Secondly, huge divisions within the squad if Lascelles demanded St Max went off. And doing it so publically is just fuel to the divisions.

    NY,
I don’t really see why they would turn it around we have a front 3 who have never created or scored consistently over any period of time.

Joelinton is getting a load of stick, but it is because he is expected to be our traditional number 9, even though it isn’t him. He is an inside forward, or someone who plays a little deeper. He doesn’t move as a striker, or attack spaces/balls in like a striker. He gets criticised, for beibg something he had bever claimed to be, and never has been.

Almiron, he just isn’t that talented. He is a sprinter that will give his all, and can play a little. You can’t help but like him, because he will give you his all. But, goals, assists….

St Max, I’m giving benefit of the doubt, but 2 one on ones today, and it was so poor. He won’t release the ball either. He had to beat at least 1 person before playing the ball

We have two wide attackers who can’t create, amd a striker who doesn’t know the spaces or areas to attack.

I don’t know you, as I don’t anyone else on this blog,
I questioned your loyalty because you have consistently slagged the team off, both before and after today’s game.
How can a fan do that?
