Early on Monday, Alan Shearer’s team of the week was announced, and it contained 22-year-old Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin as well as Steve Bruce as manager.
Allan Saint-Maximin has since taken to Twitter to express his gratitude at being selected by the Newcastle legend.
Wow! ? Alan Shearer ???? put me on his "team of the week" ??? #NewcastleLegend #FeelingGrateful https://t.co/cosPS48hZZ

Allan has certainly endeared himself to the Newcastle faithful as he seems to just make all the right moves with the fans. On Sunday, he tweeted the following response to Chris Waugh’s tweet about Saint-Maximin handing his shirt to a traveling fan.
Thank you but cheers for them Chris, spending money and hours on the road to support us, I realize what it means
— Allan Saint-Maximin (@asaintmaximin) November 3, 2019
The 22-year-old’s form since returning from his hamstring injury has been remarkable. He has added such a spark to the Newcastle attack. That spark caught fire against West Ham and led to a flurry of golden chances.
Saint-Maximin has been such a joy to watch over the past month as he frightened the living daylights out of defenses. We just can’t wait to see the winger’s reaction when he finally opens his account for the Magpies.
He’ll have another opportunity this weekend as Newcastle face Bournemouth on Saturday at St James Park. At home would before the next international break would be a fitting time for Allan to get that elusive first goal for his new club.

Comment #41In Cathros shoes you wouldn’t be leaving a first team coaching Wolves at the progressing Wolves for an under 23 role under the current regime!

Still waiting for you to justify your claim that I act like a grumpy old man.
You usually jump straight in to reply to my posts but your silence is deafening on this one.
If moaning constantly qualifies you as a grump you should look in the mirror to find one.
I await your answer.

See we are being linked to this guy for January? Kind of reminds me of a similar playing style to Demba Ba is Carr back recommending players again?
Looking at our squad I just can’t see Ashley sanctioning anyone until players are moved on with possibly Muto, Ki and Manquillo most at risk (unless we can get rid of Krafth!?!)

Comment #72Jib “Whoever is appointed Under 23 coach will be an indicator of how strong Bruce’s position in the club is.”
I reckon it will be Ben Dawson who does the majority of the recruitment leg-work, with the club rubber-stamping the appointment of whoever he wants to recruit. I imagine Bruce will have some input (why would Dawson not take advantage of his contacts) but the eventual appointment won’t reflect on him at all.
What was the thinking behind Steve Howey being in Doha? Do you think he’s fed some club insider info to Keys?

😀
I do, however, remember his tirade vs Ashley on Talk Sport after Rafa left – kept bringing the interview back to where it needed to be when the interviewer was trying to deflect it.
He’s one who definitely won’t be in line for the vacant academy coaching role…..
