Newcastle have a fantastic opportunity to get consecutive wins for the first time this season against Bournemouth on Saturday.
We’ve only faced the Cherries on twelve previous occasions. They have gotten the upper hand historically having beaten Newcastle five times while only losing four times with three draws.
Though in the Premier League era, it’s been a stalemate with two wins, two losses, and two draws for both teams. Last season, Newcastle took four points while winning this corresponding fixture at St James Park 2-1.
Bournemouth have had a tremendous start to this campaign and are in seventh place though are just four points ahead of Newcastle in fifteenth. They’ve had some trouble getting goals lately but have been very stingy in preventing the opposition from scoring.
Their 1-0 win against Manchester United last weekend broke a three game goalless streak. However, they did manage eight goals in the three games before that run. They’ve also not conceded in the last three fixtures.
Newcastle finally scored more than one goal in a game last week defeating West Ham 2-3. We hope this new found attacking form continues at St James Park on Saturday.
We would expect Newcastle to keep the same team for this weekend with Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden as the midfield pairing.
Though the big question will be if Fabian Schar gets back in the side if he is deemed fit enough. Federico Fernandez has been superb in his two games in place of the Swiss star.
With the third international break coming after the game, Newcastle have real chance to be in a prime position for the flurry of fixtures coming at the end of November into the new year.

With a name like yours using a deliberate typo to disguise the real meaning…
Who the hell are you to make deranged accusations on a real typo?
For posters unaware of what this is all about I meant to type ‘bigger’ in a sentence ‘buying a bigger and better house’ and hit the n instead of b for bigger.
The deranged bettyswallocks reckons I should issue a grovelling apology for this dastardly deed as the typo word is not one that should ever be used in it’s true context.
Not a chance I will issue any apology – any normal fair minded person would see that for what it is – a typo.
Bleatin even commented on the mistake immediately after I originally posted and called me Bills Sin – another typo!
The only reason why bettyb is having a go is because he/she disagrees with my NUFC opinions.
Simple as.

Comment #2Bills Son…….. Mine is a deliberate spoonerism yours was a clumsy attempt to type a simple everyday word and you ended up typing an offensive unacceptable word. The responsibility for your failed attempt to type properly is solely down to you and your incompetence so don’t try and apportion the blame elsewhere .
Your views on NUFC are nothing to do with this separate , sad, sorry incident.

Comment #3I always thought Bournemouth were a bit of a bogey team of ours but actually our record against them is pretty mixed. It’s going to be a tight nervy affair on Saturday, I reckon, and I just hope the crowd’s nervousness doesn’t get to the players.

Comment #6I would also like to say that even though Jesper could be a stubborn so and so at times and prone to taking his bat and ball home if he didn’t get his own way, I miss his contributions on here and would be pleased to see him make a return.
