Newcastle 17-Year-Old Gets First International Call-Up

Earlier this week, 17-year-old midfielder Joe White signed his first professional contract with Newcastle.

Today it has been announced that Joe has been named to the England U-18 squad for their three November matches. This is the youngster’s first time being called up to an England squad. He joins Matty Longstaff in that regard, who was called up to the England U-20 team earlier today.

Joe turned 17 in October and has shown significant progress in the Newcastle youth ranks. He’s made a handful of appearances for the Under-23s and even trained with the first-team in August.

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind few months for the youngster as he can now make an impact at the international level.

The England U-18 team is managed by Ian Foster, who was appointed to the position this past August. They play Russia next Thursday, Norway on Saturday, and the Czech Republic on the following Monday.

Great news for Matty x 2, first for his call-up, second for his Goal of the Month award.

Great news for Joe White also. Big future for this lad, I can feel it in my water.

Apparently the only way to get the planning decision overturned is if the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government intervenes. This is a guy called Robert Jenrick, a Conservative Politician and MP for Newark.

He does have form for saving and preserving sites of special historical interest. From Wikipedia:
“He is credited with saving the historic Grade I listed house Wentworth Woodhouse near Rotherham, when he persuaded the Chancellor Philip Hammond to intervene at the eleventh hour and provide the funds needed to buy the property. He was subsequently described by the charity SAVE to be Parliament’s Greatest Champion of Heritage”

Best method of getting to this guy? Has to be Chi Onwurah, you would think.

    Remember
Jabba hasn’t made a penny out of our club
He’s not made money from selling players
He sold all of those tat direct advert for a fair market rate

    Not a penny

And over the last 13 years , while saddling us with double the debt he inherited, has served us some of the worst football in the clubs history

    ITS NEVER JABBAS FAULT

This Vardy guy, 1 million quid, 45.5% conversion rate. In case you’re wondering, it’s miles ahead of anyone else. Second best is in the 20s.

Amazing, the table, this year. It could go anywhere. E.g. I’m pretty sure we’ll eventually be finishing higher than the team which is currently sixth.
