Martin Dubravka joined Sparta Prague on a free in the summer of 2017 from fellow Czech Republic club Sloven Liberec. Martin was only at Sparta Prague for a brief period before joining Newcastle in January 2018.
However while he was at Sparta Prague, there was a budding winger about to make a name for himself. Martin was in Prague when Adam Hlozek was starring in the Sparta Academy and at the international youth levels for the Czech Republic.
The youngster has since turned into a prodigy scoring 17 goals in 30 appearances at the junior levels for his country. Over the past season and a half, HLozek has made 40 appearances for Sparta Prague’s first team and contributed 8 goals and 10 assists. He just turned 17 in late July.
Adam Hlozek is a right-footed winger who is equally adept on either wing. He has an eye for goal and at 6’1″ has played as a striker on occasion.
Transfermarkt and GiveMeSport rate the youngster at around £3m. While he has recently been linked with both Liverpool and Manchester City, he would likely be available for a minimal fee but with very high add-ons.
Hlozek also recently extended his contract to 2022 but we think the youngster would be worth a shout for Newcastle. He’s not likely to feature for Liverpool or Manchester City for some time.
Newcastle could offer him a clearer path to first-team football. For a reasonable fee, he could be well worth it.
