Midfielder Dan Barlaser started his third straight match and 14th overall for Rotherham United as they played Accrington Stanley at home.
Rotherham won the game 1-0 despite going down to 10 men and have moved into 6th place in League One.
Dan played the entire 90 minutes for just the fourth time this season; however, three of those have come in his last three starts.

The managerial upheaval at Carlisle didn’t make much difference to Elias Sorensen as ex-manager Steven Pressley’s assistant, Gavin Skelton, still kept the striker on the bench from the start.
Sorensen was brought on in the 88th minute down 2-1 for midfielder Canice Carroll to try and rescue a point. However, it was another disappointing cameo for Elias as he was just not given much time on the pitch again.
The paltry few minutes at the end of this one does little for the 20-year-old’s development. We suppose it’s better than not getting off the bench which was Elias’s fate for the past three league matches. It’s another defeat for Carlisle who find themselves in 20th place in League Two.
88' Carroll replaced by Sorensen.

I suppose when you look at how much he cost in transfer fee & wages he has GOT to be the worst Newcastle buy ever.

Comment #3Is Kenyon an aid to Ashley?
When it gets rough for Ashley he pops up in the news .
This Latest takeover attempt is scary in that they have less money than Ashley and perhaps that’s the ploy ..the better of two evils, one false, one real , that we are living through.
We Need Slim Helù not the proposed pauper .

Comment #13All this information emerged just three weeks ago when they revealed that the owner Mike Ashley met with a group of Mexican investors to be able to make a pact, but at the moment everything is currently in the hands of the mergers and acquisitions department of the Orlegi Group to refine details and achieve the purchase.
In addition to this, it is known that the Aztec consortium has contacted some prominent names of football to obtain information and advice on the St. James Park squad.
Apart from that it is also mentioned that another of the teams that was analysed for purchase was Crystal Palace if the Magpies deal fell through

Another week wasted for Sorensen. Just what do you think (nah, thinking might be asking too much of you) the Loan Co-ordinator’s role is and what has Shola done to show he’s up to the job and not Ashley’s plant in the camp?
And, your post at 13 was interesting reading – where did you copy it from?

Comment #22This constant takeover talk is bollocks. The parasite has no intention of selling Sports Direct FC.Why would he do something as stupid as that.He gets 50000 in there every home game and pockets millions every year for next to no investment. The tat shop empire gets worldwide exposure and he just sits back laughing at the faithful.Wake up people it’s not for sale.

Comment #23Jib are you having a laugh back at 12:23 or being serious? I’d gladly swap Hayden for Xhaka, Hes a better player than we could possibly expect Hayden to ever turn into, ontop of that, Hayden seems to have gone backwards in his development. He could have been sold for 10 or 12M in the summer we’d be lucky to get 6 or 7M now.

Shola Ameobi who has said some sentences in
support of Mike Ashley must be crap at his role
in the club
Ignoring the fact that he got a sports science degree at
age 19 and has since expanded it to a masters
plus
played more than 300 games at the top level.
Please inform us of your footy qualifications Mr lesh

I played the game to a decent level ..I know the finer points and they are too obvious to a football person to even mention , you on the other hand are full of platitudes and copy and paste info passing it off as your own thought and opinion. It’s all easily seen through and comes across as a bit naff Jib ..like your trying to fit in ..reaching out even, as a psychoanalysis might reveal of you.
Your predictable and transparent when it comes to mutterings not of your own mind.
