Newcastle Youngster Plays In All Three England Under-18 Matches This Week

Newcastle’s Joe White played his third straight match for England under-18s this afternoon as the Young Lions downed the Czech Republic 1-0 in Spain. Also playing in the game was Newcastle target Luke Matheson, a 17-year-old right-back for Rochdale.

Joe White started the game but was replaced at halftime for Arsenal’s Miguel Azeez as manager Ian Foster made five changes at the break.

The 17-year-old recently signed his first professional contract with Newcastle as he has broken into the under-23s this season. This was his first international call-up as the England under-18s played three matches in Spain against Russia, Norway, and the Czech Republic.

White made his debut this past Thursday when he started in England’s 5-2 win against Russia. In that match, he played 72 minutes before being replaced by Valencia’s Yunus Musah.

White also came on as a 90th-minute substitute for Musah in a 4-4 draw against Norway on Saturday.

Today’s match was the final one of the year for the Newcastle under-18s. It’s great to see Joe White get to play in all three matches, especially getting starts in two of them.

The youngster could have a bright future for Newcastle if he can continue his development. He just turned 17 last month, so he has time on his side.

Me “Did Steve Bruce used to own Birthdays as well as Bryan Robson?”

“Yes, I worked in his shop. He only had 3”

Me “Oh, was there lots of different owners”
No about 4 footballers and ron wood

Copies of texts I sent my friend today.
Last week when I was round there I must have been slating him and that’s when she told me he was a very nice man. I do remember her meeting him years ago but had forgotten all about it.

IrishRob, there’s a canny article here re Emre (with apologies to Dr Ed and family)
    https://www.geordiebootboys.com/history/mixed-legacy-emre-belozoglu/

It kinda confirms everything we’ve each said, but adds in accusations of racism.
