Former Magpie Linked With Move To Serie A Club

Hatem Ben Arfa’s former PSG teammate Thiago Motta may be offering the 32-year-old free agent a lifeline. After recent talks with Nantes failed to produce a move for the midfielder, there is a report in Sky Sports Italy that Motta may try to bring his former teammate to Genoa.

Motta was hired as the Genoa manager on October 22nd and has guided them to 4 points over his first 4 games in charge. They had amassed just 5 points in their first 8.

Thiago Motta was the coach of PSG under-19 side in his only other managerial position. He has made an impressive start at Genoa as he tries to imprint his style on the team.

The Brazilian’s job has gotten that much harder with the recent ACL injury of their leading scorer Christian Kouame on international duty with the Ivory Coast. Genoa has brought in former Fulham forward Muamer Tankovic, but the reports out of Italy are that Motta also wants to bring in Hatem Ben Arfa.

Ben Arfa has been closely linked with moves to Fiorentina and Nantes over the past few months after he after his release from Rennes in the summer. However, he has failed to find an offer that he finds satisfactory. Whether his former teammate can convince him to come to Italy is far from likely.

Belgium will probably slaughter Cyprus tonight
I’m not convinced that the current organisation
of the Euro Nations is the best

HBA? Sign him up. Best player since the entertainers.

PL programme on beIN. They pointed out that Spurs aren’t doing too badly, really, just three points off fifth.

We are just two points off fifth! They didn’t mention that. Still, hadn’t realised that.

For me having rafa here I felt going into matches we would be close even when playing the better teams and that the players would gave their all for the fans and Rafa.

But more importantly what rafa instilled into the fans the community and whole area including his charity work and he got what the club meant to us fans. He give us hope and pride during our years of darkness. His football wasn’t the entertainers but with rafa we had something good to cling onto and it’s a total shame some people didn’t appreciate him whilst he was here.

I reckon that the standard of football is much higher amongst the minnow nations now and whilst there’s few shock results the top teams a getting tougher games with the odd surprise always possible.

Iceland were one of the minnows not so long ago and look at them now!

Years before it became fashionable my son became a vegan whilst he was still living with us, meal times were a real challenge as there was not the same level of alternatives to what there is now.

He and his lady are vegetarian now so it’s a lot easier for them and us when they visit, we’re planning the xmas menu now! 🙂

I miss rondon and perez or basically a goal scorer. They can score hat tricks where our front 3 can’t manage 1 between them. Rondon especially is like a fine wine and just gets better with age.

Unless the Strawberry Place development is somehow stopped then that is going to be a permanent blot on the landscape even after Ashlie has finally left the scene.

Shameful act of greed by the councillors who voted it through, still find it unbelievable!

It isn’t Genjkai, not by a long shot. And it’s great to see people getting off their backsides and doing something instead of just complaining about things on social media.

I understand there are people worldwide doing things to help us get rid of the fat man, and kudos to all of them.

Nothing will change unless we make it change, and that means doing something.

Reminds me a bit of something I learned at school:-

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.

Well done TMG – nice gaff chumley lives in mind you, not much security.

Rondon has one goal this season, and on average less than two digits a year.

Don’t get me wrong, he was good for us but he was no Shearer.

Not exactly what most would call a goal machine.

Perez? I liked him but most of our fans didn’t rate him. Hence the books.

We need to turn the page. Onwards and upwards. (I hope!)

We’re 15 mins into match here at Adams Park. It’s 0-0, &, apart from Iceland Under-20s almost scoring an OG, little of note has happened. Matty Longstaff has looked composed early on. He’s playing in a midfield two in a 4-2-3-1 formation, sitting alongside Marcus Tavernier #nufc
