L’Equipe is reporting that Newcastle are scouting Le Mans winger Stephane Diarra. The 20-year-old Ivorian is known for his awe-inspiring dribbling skills in Ligue 2.

Diarra is another player Newcastle are tracking who has just joined their current club permanently this season similar to Rony Lopes with Sevilla and Victor Osimhen with Lille. We also signed Emil Krafth in August after just joining Amiens on a permanent deal.
Diarra spent last season on loan with Le Mans when they were in the Championnat National, which is the third tier of French football. He made 33 appearances in helping the club gain promotion to Ligue 2.
He joined the club permanently in July from Rennes for a fee of £440k. This season the right-winger has made 16 appearances with 3 goals and 2 assists.
Diarra has dual French and Ivorian citizenship but has not featured for either nation at any level. The report in L’Equipe says that both Leicester City and Celtic are also scouting the player.
The youngster will turn 21 in December. He is third in Ligue 2 in attempted dribbles but leads all players with a success rate of 74%.
