Three Loan Lads In Action This Evening

Goalkeeper Freddie Woodman started his 18th straight league game for Swansea in their 1-1 draw at Huddersfield this evening. Swansea move up to 5th place but they have a game in hand on the four teams below them. Swansea have conceded 18 goals this season with 5 clean sheets when Freddie’s been in goal.

Midfielder Dan Barlaser made his fifth straight start for Rotherham United tonight. Dan was substituted in the 74th minute in the disappointing 3-2 defeat at Portsmouth though they remain in fourth place. With the win Portsmouth jump ahead of Sunderland who fall to eleventh place after a 2-1 home defeat against Burton Albion. The karma continues.

Liam Gibson started his fifth straight match for struggling Grimsby Town. With caretaker manager Anthony Limbrick still in charge, the Mariners managed a 0-0 draw at home to Cheltenham. It was their sixth straight winless match. Kevin Nolan has been touted as a potential candidate as the next manager of the club.

Rolando Aarons was an unused substitute in Wycombe’s 0-0 draw at Ipswitch Town. Wycombe remain top of League One, five points above Ipswitch who have two games in hand.
