What Will Be The Result Of Saturday’s Match Against Manchester City?

We expect there to be another great upheaval to the Newcastle squad for Saturday’s match against Manchester City. Just like the match against Manchester United, which came after the dreadful Leicester City display, the lads are in need of redemption this weekend.

The match against Manchester United saw Steve Bruce make five changes to the team as he handed Matty Longstaff, Ciaran Clark, and DeAndre Yedlin their first starts of the season.

We don’t think Bruce will quite reach that level of change. However, we expect there to be some changes in the team. We could see Fabian Schar and Sean Longstaff return after missing out over the past month – Fabian with his knee injury and Sean with his red card suspension.

There is also Florian Lejeune, who did not make the trip to Aston Villa on Monday despite being declared available for selection. He may come into the reckoning against Manchester City this weekend.

Whatever the result, we need to see a reaction against a dangerous Manchester City team. We are not expecting a result, but we want to see a vastly improved performance from the one at Aston Villa.

What Will Be The Result Of Saturday's Match Against Manchester City?

  • Loss (76%, 878 )
  • Win (13%, 150 )
  • Draw (11%, 131 )

I’ve been thinking about this since the Villa result and checking back on conparable stats for when this has occurred in the past – disappointing result against a fellow league struggler, followed by a titanic task against one of the top in-form teams. After looking at the injury impact on the team, how Bruce might tactically rearrange things, either expediently or by design, and the morale of the squad, I’m still left wondering – can you still buy Chewits?

Jib previous – well done for linking up to companies house bland books – the definitive source of vanilla accounting justification for demonstrating a Company is solvent, as “proof” that NUFC is managed financially in the best interests of combined stability and sporting intent.

Why anyone would look there to see if “money has vanished” I do not know. Has anyone told HMRC? Fraud squad? Chi-Chi-Chi-Chip ‘n’ Dale, Rescue Rangers? Probably……not.

I dare say we will see Bruce attempt to “get a valuable point” with a flat back five, defensive 4 man midfield and poor old Joselinton wandering around like a pension-age litter picker in the City half. Scintillating.

Jib he he he lets see how dynamic we look as the season wears on shall we? Looks like one of us will be copying and pasting the others comments in a few months. Who will it be? Actually I hope I’m wrong on this one because if I’m not we are in trouble.

Relegation this time is pretty unthinkable because there would be no easy route back up.

Jib you might want to compare the league last year at this time. The bottom teams collectively had much fewer points. Consequently we were a place higher this time last year with one less win. The traditional top six were stronger so the polarity was marked could moated to this year. The points differen e between 14th and and 5th was 15 points. Not 4. Fifteen. Different League this year so far. But I’ve a feeling after a few managerial shuffles and some botty-kicking it will start to resemble the usual picture by season end. Whether we will end up 13th though is another matter.

Not to late to get rid of Cabbage head and get a real manager in to save our season.
Well we can hope so.3 good results fills some with hope for the future and they forget the other crap results.
They never learn the lesson that as long as AshLie owns up this is as good as it gets.
Nothing better than survival in the big league is the aim.
Then some of you may be happy with that.I am not.

Good points made about company finances in link on previous article. It is about what you would expect. i.e. Ashley isn’t taking money out of the football club and lining his own pockets. If the figures shown there aren’t true, he’d be clapped in leg irons by now.

We know how, he is benefiting from owning the club and also what a sh1t job he is making of running the business. Those 2 relegation years have cost a fortune in terms of losses. It’s a real pity he wasn’t smart enough to stop that from happening.

If those 2 seasons hadn’t occurred he could have paid himself back the interest free loans to the club and be in a much easier place to sell the club without having his fingers burnt. He’s stubborn about getting money back !!

It must feel like a millstone around his neck by now.

Yep small world indeed. You actually believe that companies House accounts submissions tell the whole story about how the finances are creatively arranged at the club? Hmm.

On an unrelated note, did I ever tell you that my late father was the Roads and Transportation Minister of Togo and when he died he had the equivalent GBP £14m in government funds in his personal account? If you could supply your bank details I could pass this money into your account and you would get a 10% commission of course…….

Bruce is reminding me more and more of Pardew. Always playing people out of position, no pass and move and players isolated up front with the midfield being bypassed. Ultra defensive with often 10 men in their own half.

    Jib

Thank goodness there is no such thing as creative accounting. Even if ash is whiter than white, as you obviously believe him to be, it’s his greed in denying someone like the Mansours or BZG to take us over that is the biggest bugbear. The throwaway line ”what’s another 10M to them” shows Ash will forever move the goalposts if he can get one over on someone. In some way it’s great someone didn’t cave into ash’s avarice, but very frustrating for us real fans.

Ashley has had all of his “loan” back and more dear oh dear it’s there on the books still for accounting magic purposes. He doesn’t have to get his money back as a “Director’s Withdrawal” in a brown envelope you know 🙂 or even a bank transfer with “loan repayment” as the reference. It can go sideways any number of ways and somewhere down the line he profits. You have to look at some of the decidedly non-bargain transfers that have been pushed through and wonder just whose gears are being oiled. The SD marketing arrangements. The advertising. Loads of tricky ways to enrich the fat man.

Tom a bit of background on that pic
J D-C is from East Anglia and attended
Durham Uni for nearly 5 years
He now resides in Singapore but still
    regularly contributes to The Mag
That pic with Ashley is taken in the lounge
of the old Boleyn ground after we lost to
West Ham Nov 2014 ending Pardew’s run
of 6 wins in a row.
As well as NUFC he supports Norwich City
and Glasgow Celtic his name is on the founders
wall at West Hams new ground so he may support
    them also.
I don’t think he is lesh – just a toffee nosed chinless
southern twit who latched on to the closest PL club
    to Durham University

OK, what do I know about company house submissions?

I have 2 businesses of my own, and know the consequences of misfiling. I also have a good accountant, and understand the legal requirements of being an owner of a limited company.

Our crap financial position is solely down to 2 relegations and poor management courtesy of Ashley. Read the figures about, TV revenue, match day takings & players wages for those years. They’re all very hard things to tell lies about. Not only that they look to be realistic. We didn’t get rid of high cost players, we kept them on and got back up quickly. It would have been *interesting* if we didn’t go straight back up. For any views on that head over to SAFC.

Our biggest expense is players wages. I can’t see Ashley being able skim anything off that. He’s his own worst enemy and deserves everything that is coming at him

And ultimately the virgin islands which is the only company that makes a profit … Funny coincidence that’s a tax haven https://www.nhsforsale.info/private-providers/virgin-care-ltd-new/
