Late last week, it was reported that GACP Sports could be bought out of their shares in Ligue 1’s Bordeaux by majority shareholder King Street. L’Equipe is now indicating that the process has been initiated.

This tweet translates to:
Bordeaux: Main shareholder King Street has initiated the process to buy GACP shares.
This latest action follows a night of unrest on Monday at Bordeaux as ultras stormed the pitch during their match against Nimes. The fans had brought signs to protest the ownership and direction of the club. However, stewards had confiscated the banners prior to the match starting leading to the protest.
Tonight's Bordeaux vs Nîmes momentarily suspended as Bordeaux ultras storm the pitch 10 minutes in – they are angry with the board & the lack of clarity about ownership.

There is a report in La Tribune that the fans are happy with Joseph DaGrosa and that their anger is reserved for the majority shareholder King Street and club president Frederic Longuepee.
However, we found a tweet from Brunet Florian, who is the leader of a Bordeaux fan group called Ultramarines, that contradicts this reporting.
— Brunet Florian (@FlorianBrunet78) December 4, 2019
This tweet roughly translates to:
To those who still believe we are defending Da Grosa and Varela, we invite you to listen to all our latest communications. Dealing with them as crooks may not be strong enough because if the financial scam remains to be proven, the scam Moral is undeniable.
We are not sure of what financial scams Florian is referencing but there appears to be a lot of anger with the new ownership consortium of Bordeaux who just completed their takeover a little over a year ago.
Joesph DaGrosa (center)– soon to be bought out at Bordeaux?
If GACP Sports is bought out by King Street, we would expect Joseph DaGrosa to redouble his efforts to invest in another club. Ideally, that would be Newcastle United with Peter Kenyon if the funds can be raised and, most importantly, Ashley accepts an offer.
However, we are not sure what to make of the brewing anger with Bordeaux’s fan group. And we are left thinking of a couple of cliches like ‘be careful what you wish for’ and ‘the grass is always greener’.
