Newcastle At Sheffield United – Poll Result, Prediction, and Injuries

Here is the team we predict Steve Bruce will send out for tonight’s match at Sheffield United. It features just one change with Ciaran Clark making way for Fabian Schar.

Squad rotation has been on Steve Bruce’s lips this week. He again spoke about it yesterday in his press conference. With six matches coming up in December, we expect to see some changes in team selection this month.

We think that will start tonight. However, Bruce won’t tinker too much with what has worked over the past couple of months.

Both Andy Carroll and DeAndre Yedlin, who missed out at the weekend, are fit and available for selection. Though Bruce has revealed that he is taking it extra cautious with Frenchman Florian Lejeune, who continues to train but will not be available to play.

The results over the past two days of Premier League action has not changed Newcastle’s league position. We remain in 14th and can climb into 11th with a win or 12th with a draw.

Sheffield United have dropped a couple of places but are still in the 9th spot and a win for them would see them up to 6th place. Their manager Chris Wilder has also been talking about rotating his squad this week as well. They currently have no one injured so he has a fully fit team to select from.

Newcastle Injuries

Matt Ritchie – ankle, Jamaal Lascelles – leg, Florian Lejeune – knee

Our poll for this match shows that Newcastle fans are confident after the display on Saturday. Of the 1,238 total votes, 37% predict a draw while 36% have Newcastle returning home with all three points. Just 27% think we’ll get nothing from the match.

This is an important one against a very good team. They are unbeaten in their last 7 but have only managed draws in their last 3 matches. This is a great opportunity to start the month off the right way with a result.

What Will Be The Result Of The Match At Sheffield United?

  • Draw (37%, 459 )
  • Win (36%, 443 )
  • Loss (27%, 336 )

Total Voters: 1,238

A win sees us hopefully up to 11th place, any motivation needed for the team is sitting right there.

Is this the night one of our forward’s score, I do hope so, the defense are knackered.

That said, I’ve just found a Charge (secured loan?) on Companies House which appears to be secured on “Properties… Including the rear sports ground at Darsley Park” dated Decembr 2016.

I’m no good with corporate law or finance, maybe someone can tell me if this means we own the training ground and, more importantly, if Ashley has been loading more debt onto the club than we were previously aware of.

Can’t see any changes to the defence.

My only change would be Joelinton for Gayle.

A match that will suit Gayle and he looked sharper and zippier last week. Give him a chance alongside ASM and Almiron and he’ll grab a goal or two. Ppl like to knock Gayle’s record, seems fashionable to unthinkingly label him a PL failure at the moment, but a goal every 4 PL matches isn’t to be sniffed at, especially when you consider the teams he’s played for and our current ST is on 1 in 14.

Having Almiron and ASM do the damage to defensive lines with a ST who has the movement and appetite to be there to put the finishing touch will benefit us.

Surely a charge against a leasehold properties isn’t unusual as security for a loan. Is it any different to raising a mortgage to buy the leasehold to a house with a lengthy lease?

Maybe Ashley didn’t spot the charge on the training ground when he didn’t do due diligence before buying the club. Ashley’s probably remortgaged the training ground to raise the money to by HoF and transform it into the Harrods of the High Street.
