Dummett, Joelinton, And Saint-Maximin All Start Against Southampton

Here is the team that Bruce has selected for our match against Southampton at St James Park today. It’s just the one change from the victory at Sheffield United with Joelinton returning to the starting eleven for Andy Carroll.

This is who Ralph Hassenhutl has chosen for the visitors.

Still no room for Fabian Schar or Sean Longstaff, who are again on the bench which looks a very strong one. Bruce has not rotated this team near as much as we thought. He’s sticking with the players that have gotten him to this high point of the season.

Let’s hope we can continue to improve and climb the table with a massive three points today. It won’t be easy but these are the games that we need to be winning.

Howay The Lads!

    Catchy,

I may have missed something in the past, but please explain briefly why you ALWAYS spell Rafa’s name with three capital letters, i.e. ‘RAFa.’ Do you have a fixation with the Royal Air Force?

    Mickey,

    Thanks for the streaming links.

Sports Direct, you do seem a bit of a Ass.
I dont want to read of your falling out with Oldgit or anybody.
You seemed to dominate the blog last night and it gets a wee bit tedious as you hurl insults at one another.
I like to read the blog for its differing opinions not read 2 kids calling each other.
Why dont you and Oldgit get together somewhere and settle your childish dispute in private.

Don’t have much, if any, interaction with you so not sure why your sticking you nose in this, but since you want to go there, lets go there.

There is thing that if you don’t want to read something you just scroll past it, simple. If you still don’t understand I’m sure someone else on here can explain it. You say you don’t want to read “2 kids calling each other” yet your first sentence is calling me an ass. Just add you to the growing list of holier than thou hypocrites on here.

Also, maybe read it. I don’t and haven’t called anyone anything on here anything unless you count hypocrite and dumb (and that was only yesterday) You obviously have no issues calling people names, I don’t really care what you think or call me, it lends to your character not mine.

Enjoy the match everyone. Hoping for 3 more points.

I know it’s hard to change a winning team but surely Schar starts ahead of Dummett?
    No knocking him btw.

Can only think he does not want to risk Andy as even though he didn’t get too much change on Thursday, he was still more effective than what Joelinton has been all season.

Having said that losing your place can be the kick up the backside and motivation that a lot of players need to suddenly realise they need to start delivering the goods. Let’s hope that Bruce has seen a new hunger in Joey in training and he bags a couple today.

Surprised there is no changes. Thought Longstaff, Schar or Atsu might get a start.

You’re a great guy, a great poster and deserve the recognition you deserve.

A question: The Wife has a key role in this blog – it’s her family’s. We mere posters are guests of the Harrison’s and guests don’t normally make demands of their hosts. Has Debrette changed?

RAFa chose 12 million a year over nufc, he apparently wanted a50% increase, now for him to demand that, he must have known of the move to China, he was holding a gun to the clubs head.

He chose to cash out and chance winning the champions league from China.

    Simple facts

Re Dummett ahead of Schär, the managers tend to keep the same players if they are doing well otherwise it’s got to be demoralising for them to play well, win then get dropped!
It’s thanks to Rafa that we have a good defence and back ups, something that Man City of all clubs are struggling with!

Southampton have won 2 in a row and will be full of confidence.

We were God awful at Sheffield United and our football is piss poor.

Expecting the usual 20-25% possession but will draw today.

Catchy and sanity are distant cousins who are rarely on speaking terms and talking sense is not something poor Catchy is ever going to be able to pull off. Catchy is an obsessive manic depressive, possibly on the spectrum, where sadly reality is another distant relative. To be pitied rather than persecuted when he hears those voices.

Pretty much as expected aside from ASM starting – hopefully whatever was troubling him on Thursday has cleared up and he’s moving more fluently again. Need his thrust.

Carroll will be good to start away to Burnley next weekend. Another match which should suit him well.

Been a definite uptick in hamstring injuries across the leagues this weekend, fatigue beginning to set in, hoe we can be lucky and avoid any in light of the all hard running our players do.
