Two Key Magpies Spotted Back In Training

Newcastle have released some images from Monday’s training session. All the photos can be seen through the link in the tweet below.

The images reveal Jetro Willems is back in training. The Dutchman missed the win against Crystal Palace on Saturday. He was also absent from any of the training pictures the club released last week.

Jetro can be spotted in the gym and on the pitch, so it’s looking quite positive on him returning for the trip to Old Trafford on Thursday. Yesterday, Steve Bruce said that Jetro missed out due to a ‘whack on the knee’ suffered in the loss at Burnley.

It’s great to see him in with a chance on Boxing Day. There were no sightings of Paul Dummett so we assume he is doubtful to make the trip on Thursday.

A couple of players who have been ruled out for Thursday were also in the images. One is Ki Sung-yueng who is still recovering from an illness.

Some other encouraging news is that Jamaal Lascelles has returned to light training. He was seen in three of the pictures jogging by himself. It looks like the captain is on track to make his return next month.

If Manquillo can reproduce the same form against Rashford we will stand a chance at nulifying ManU. Even better if Willems is back. We just need to lock down Pogba, which Saun managed the last time they met. Plus another goal from Matty would be the icing on the cake.

Miggy certainly looked a better player in the middle, with enough pace to exploit space out wide when needed. I am not sure he needs two others in front of him and I imagine away at old trafford, Bruce will not be so expansive. If he sticks with Almiron up front, it will be interesting to see who he is paired with. Another mobile striker like Gayle would cause ManU a lot of problems and it would give Andy time to recover for the next home game. Whilst I hope Joelinton does come good, we can not carry him in this game.

I think most of those that read this blog , will realise , that it’s an old story regurgitated on a notoriously slow news day and , not what you and iloveton8788 are trying to imply.

Mike Ashley has no intention of selling the club, he thinks we’re all stupid.

Were you not previously giving out to people about the GCAP fakeover and now just realising Da grosa has distanced himself. Who can keep up with your super fickle nature.

Also Ashley as an investor himself always buys companies on it’s knees, not riding high when they are at a premium as I suspect many other investors also follow suit.

Is that Gerrard, Benitez’s CL winning captain. SAF was the most ruthless tea cup throwing manager ever. Sometimes you need to be and one thing players always say about Benitez is that he is respected, even if he wasn’t the cuddliest.

It’s funny that, alonso, finning, Bellamy, stevie G, 2 name 4 of his Liverpool players who have said not great things about Rafa, all big players too.

Pardew left here and other clubs and I have not read a negative word about him.

So i think your adding own version of things when you say he is respected. I don’t think Shelvey respected him, nor Hayden, Mikel came and went pretty quick.

Moreno side stepped the Q when asked about his opinion of Rafa on Spanish tv and Perez wanted to leave long before Rafa went to China – Jesus Gamez hasn’t a good word to say about Rafa
