We are hoping that Newcastle manage to bring in 2-3 youngsters next month to strengthen the Academy. It already looks promising that Queens Park midfielder Reagan Thomson will be joining.
Newcastle have reportedly won the race for the 16-year-old but that has yet to be confirmed. Yesterday, it was reported that Newcastle were in talks for another Scottish youngster in 19-year-old Lewis Smith from Scottish Premiership side Hamilton.
The Telegraph have a report out today that says the club is also monitoring Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The 16-year-old has had an astonishing start to his young career. He’s already a full time regular at St Andrew’s having broken into the first-team this year. On August 31st, he became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer when he scored the game-winner against Stoke.
Jude Bellingham– taking Championship by storm
Bellingham has 22 appearances with 3 goals and 1 assist this season. He’s also been capped by the England U17 team 3 times scoring twice. In November, he was named the EFL Young Player of the Month.
The youngster doesn’t turn 17 until June so he’s on quite the trajectory having done so well at such a young age. He would be an excellent addition to our Academy where we already have a couple of promising midfielders in Joe White and Bobby Clark.
What Will Be The Result Against Leicester City On New Year's Day?
- Loss (71%, 1,193 )
- Win (16%, 264 )
- Draw (13%, 223 )

More and more I get the feeling that Bruces style of management is very similar to the school playground, remain popular, try to pick the best 11 and try to win by trying harder than the opposition. If its not working put another player on and if it still fails say, “we tried hard”.
