Newcastle Issue Second Positive Update On The Week’s Training Sessions

Newcastle United have issued another injury update along with a collection of images from today’s training session. The images can be accessed here or in the tweet below.

The injury update is again a positive one but not too much different from the one earlier in the week. Miguel Almiron, Andy Carroll, Ciaran Clark, Paul Dummett, Dwight Gayle, Matt Ritchie, and Jetro Willems all participated in today’s session. They are all available for the trip to Wolves on Saturday.

Allan Saint-Maximin is slowly ramping up his involvement and took part in some of today’s session. Captain Jamaal Lascelles is due to return to training tomorrow.

The leaves Javier Manquillo, Yoshinori Muto, Fabian Schar, and Jonjo Shelvey still not participating in training with no return date mentioned. There were also no images of Ki Sung-yueng, but we would assume he is available after playing this past weekend.

Bruce is still keeping some youngsters involved as well. Ludwig Francillette tweeted of his participation in senior training recently, and today we saw two local lads in Lewis Cass and Tom Allan have also been involved this week.

The situation with injuries has drastically improved over the past few days. Getting Clark, Dummett, and Ritchie back will give Bruce much more flexibility defensively. Hopefully, that will help cut out the errors we’ve seen over the past few matches.

How Will Newcastle Fare At Wolves On Saturday?

  • Loss (66%, 1,530 )
  • Win (17%, 405 )
  • Draw (17%, 385 )

What’s all this about the Harrison’s taking money to spread Ashley’s PR? What evidence is there to suggest as much? Do the Harrison’s care to comment?

Clark back is great news. Schar and Fernandez is the partnership from hell with no lascelles or Clark to guide them seems shaky at best.

I posted earlier today the supporters need a reality check when it comes to getting players in…seems some the local tittle tattle reporters need to do the same….lee ryder earlier stating piatek had already turned down crystal palace as he wanted a bigger club, and newcastle fit the bill,im sorry like but he needs to give his heed a shake if he thinks that…look at league positions over last few years, money spent, players in and out, location…. he’s kidding himself…stop pissing on people’s heeds and telling them its raining man!….reporting crap like this just builds false hope…in reality if us and palace were both after the same player, odds are they would get him …dont like saying that as its seems like im just dumping the team I’ve supported all my life but reality has to be realised about this club, players, managers, transfers and money spent…at present we are on par with lower premier league/top championship in stature….hurts to say that.

ASM tweeted about getting back to fitness as quickly as possible and showing himself in a full sprint earlier today also. I think this weekend might be too soon for him to start, but a sub appearance and starting the cup match next week might be on the cards.

Fingers crossed, anyway – and that our injury run is over and done with, it was a shocker….

    AND

We are 6 points off being relegated.

We’re stuck with Dwight Gayle, unless we are willing to sell at around 8 to 10 million. No one will match the 50 000 quid a week we pay him otherwise.

Better then for us to think of him as a distant back up to Almiron or St Max than a centre forward. He was exactly that at Crystal Palace, a reserve inside forward or winger, and just isn’t good enough to lead the line in the EPL.

I know sports journo’s just make stuff up, but whoever is writing we’re asking 20 million for him should be on the staff at the Beano or the Dandy. It’s plainly ridiculous.

And we really don’t need Lookman. We have Almiron, St Max, Joelinton, Atsu, Muto and Gayle to cover the wider attacking roles in a front 3, and only Carroll really capable of doing the job up front in the middle.

This team needs a Giroud type, and a box to box mid.

Lookman may be a decent player, even if he looks more like a typical Ashley punt, but he’s certainly not what we need right now. He’s more a player we’d sign in view of playing a back four next year.

The PR will employ someone to post on blogs and social media to defend a person or business
These people will use multiple accounts and across platforms to maximise the outlay

Wonder why JIB has so many alts ?

    😉
