Newcastle Issue Second Positive Update On The Week’s Training Sessions

Newcastle United have issued another injury update along with a collection of images from today’s training session. The images can be accessed here or in the tweet below.

The injury update is again a positive one but not too much different from the one earlier in the week. Miguel Almiron, Andy Carroll, Ciaran Clark, Paul Dummett, Dwight Gayle, Matt Ritchie, and Jetro Willems all participated in today’s session. They are all available for the trip to Wolves on Saturday.

Allan Saint-Maximin is slowly ramping up his involvement and took part in some of today’s session. Captain Jamaal Lascelles is due to return to training tomorrow.

The leaves Javier Manquillo, Yoshinori Muto, Fabian Schar, and Jonjo Shelvey still not participating in training with no return date mentioned. There were also no images of Ki Sung-yueng, but we would assume he is available after playing this past weekend.

Bruce is still keeping some youngsters involved as well. Ludwig Francillette tweeted of his participation in senior training recently, and today we saw two local lads in Lewis Cass and Tom Allan have also been involved this week.

The situation with injuries has drastically improved over the past few days. Getting Clark, Dummett, and Ritchie back will give Bruce much more flexibility defensively. Hopefully, that will help cut out the errors we’ve seen over the past few matches.

How Will Newcastle Fare At Wolves On Saturday?

  • Loss (66%, 1,530 )
  • Win (17%, 405 )
  • Draw (17%, 385 )
