Eurosport journalist Manu Lonjon has just tweeted the following, which translates to – Newcastle has just made an offer for Emmanuel Dennis.

Emmanuel Dennis is a 22-year-old striker who plays for Club Brugge in Belgium. He’s a Nigerian international who has 8 goals in 26 appearances this season.
Dennis joined Brugge in 2017 as a free agent from Ukraine’s Zorya Luhansk. He can play as a center-forward or on either wing and has made 96 appearances in total for Brugge with 27 goals and 10 assists.
Dennis is valued at £25m and has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace recently.
Emmanuel Dennis– are Newcastle interested in Nigerian forward?
Lee Ryder with the Chronicle has tweeted the following which refutes the claim that a bid has been launched.
Word up here is that Newcastle have not – at this stage – made a £25million offer for Emmanuel Dennis of Club Brugge. #nufc
— Lee Ryder (@lee_ryder) January 9, 2020
Ryder is careful to include ‘at this stage’ in his remark. So Lee doesn’t dispute an interest in the forward from Newcastle.
Dennis is an exciting prospect but may not be the answer to our goalscoring problems this season. However, he’s only just turned 22 in November and is a very dynamic player.
Here’s the goal he scored against Real Madrid in the Champions League last month. He almost toppled over but showed great composure to chip this one over the keeper.

We’ll see where this link goes, but he looks an up-and-coming prospect with a lot of room to grow.

Comment #1Not a player I rate that highly anyway. Would rather see Piacek or Giroud if I’m honest. We have enough strikers who cant score goals on our books already, be nice to see one who can.

Comment #4Anglo Saxon – to answer your previous question re. PR – I obviously can’t be certain but I’ve been on this blog for quite a few years now and I know the writing styles of some of the posters that are supposed to be PR. A lot of them were on this blog before we’d even heard of Keith Bishop or Justin Barns and yes some of them like to play Devil’s Advocate and be ‘worky tickets’. Even though it is quite often referred to I can’t actually remember a post that has actively supported Ashley in the last few years – yes there are some that don’t think he is the Devil Incarnate and can’t abide blatant made up stuff about him but that doesn’t make them PR (in my view).

Comment #6martoon thank’s for the reply, but as you say that’s your view, others might have a different view, not to say their right or wrong, but that’s the way it goes. Cheers again.
