What Will Be The Result Of FA Cup Replay Against Rochdale?

After stopping the rot at Wolves, Newcastle have a massive opportunity to advance in the FA Cup on Tuesday. We didn’t get the job done at Rochdale last weekend as the lads didn’t capitalize on their first-half dominance.

However, the excellent draw yesterday at Wolves should give the players a lift in confidence heading into the replay. Also, a fourth-round draw against Oxford United, another League One club, leaves a place in the fifth round a real possibility.

Steve Bruce should be able to field a strong side though he may have an issue with fielding a defense again. Three right-backs were out against Wolves, so hopefully, either DeAndre Yedlin or Emil Krafth can come back for Tuesday.

There’s an outside chance Jamaal Lascelles could return though with two players going down early at Molineux, we think Bruce will hold the captain out of this one.

He’ll have three fit defenders in Federico Fernandez, Ciaran Clark, and Florian Lejeune, but will he really risk Florian again on short rest after what happened against Everton and Leicester.

Matt Ritchie will likely get his first start since August as the injuries yesterday didn’t allow for him to play a part.

The Longstaff brothers should be ok to get a third straight start together in the midfield. While we’ll see if Bruce goes with Andy Carroll up front or continues with Joelinton. He could even start them together with Joelinton on the right and Almiron on the left.

This is match Newcastle need to be winning and doing so very comfortably. Let’s hope they can put this one to bed in the first half so some youngsters can make their Newcastle debuts in the second.

    Aston Villa 0-3 Man City

That’s the record-equalling goal for Sergio Aguero. It’s his 175th Premier League goal, taking him level with Thierry Henry.

I know he’s an Aston Villa man and all that but does anyone see Dean Smith lasting much longer at Villa?

They’re basically just replicating Fulham from last season. Spent a lot of money, apparently play really nice football but they’ve been poor for a long time now and it’s been mainly Grealish dragging them out.

Brucie was very downbeat about the chances of any signings in his pre match interview . According to him nobody is interested in selling their better players in Jan. and we aren’t interested in buying just for the sake of it.

Some great entertainment in P/League if you follow Liverpool,Mancs.and a few others.
Shame our lads cant be in that grouping but with AshLie as our owner no chance.
Pity really as our fans are 2nd to none and deserve to be entertained, even to compete would be enough.
As long as he owns the club we have to put up with 3rd rate performances and Bruce.

even to compete would be enough.
    1 – 0 win away to Spurs
    2 – 2 home to Man City
    1 – 1 away to Wolves
    1 – 0 home to Man Utd
    2 – 0 away win Sheff U
    2 – 1 home win Everton

    Define compete
