In October, Arsenal Academy youngster Stan Flaherty had a trial at Newcastle after finishing one up at West Ham.
While there’s been no further news on the lad, he recently posted a picture of St James Park on his Instagram account and has just posted the following message.

After 7 years at Arsenal I have decided it’s time for me to move onto a new challenge. I would like to thank all my teammates for making those 7 years so memorable and helping me grow as a player and as a person and I wish them all the best of luck in their careers. Thank you to everyone who’s supported my journey so far! Onto the next chapter!?
It looks like the youngster has made a decision on his future. The image he posted of St James Park from December could be a hint that he’s signing with Newcastle. However, that is pure speculation on our part.
Newcastle recently signed, but have yet to announce, 16-year-old Reagan Thomson from Queens Park in Scotland as the club look to strengthen the Academy.
We’ll see if Stan Flaherty, who turned 18 last month, is one of them.
