Yesterday, the Telegraph reported that Newcastle would soon make a bid on Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen. While Bowen has been linked with a dozen Premier League clubs as well as Leeds United, Hull has not received a bid for the 23-year-old yet.
However, it looks like Hull may be expecting something imminent and have made a move to fend off interest in their star player.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Hull will offer Jarrod Bowen an improved contract from the one that’s been on the table since October.
This new offer will double Bowen’s wages while Hull remain in the Championship. However, if promoted his wages would again double so he would be receiving quadruple what he is currently on.
The offer Bowen received in October was reportedly a 30% increase on his current wages.
Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton also tweeted about Hull offering Bowen a new deal earlier on Saturday.

We still don’t expect Bowen to sign an extension with Hull while the window is open. However, he may opt to once February arrives which could scuttle a summer move for the winger.
Hopefully, the report of a pending Newcastle bid is accurate and that they make the offer in the next few days. An opening bid of £15-18m would force Hull and Bowen into making a decision.
