Report – Lazaro Loan Move To Newcastle Very Close

According to another report from Italy, Newcastle’s loan move for Inter Milan’s Valentino Lazaro is moving closer to completion.

Siempre Inter has a report citing the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport that Lazaro is close to signing for Newcastle.

The details of the deal are the same as reported yesterday. Lazaro will join initially on loan worth €2m. Newcastle will then have an option to make the deal permanent for €20m.

Lazaro’s agent, Max Hagmayr, was in Newcastle yesterday, reportedly working on the deal for his client. This is a tweet from the Chronicle’s Andrew Musgrove showing a picture of Hagmayr at St James Park.

The 23-year-old has made every matchday squad for Inter this season. So it will be very telling if Lazaro is not involved in the match between Inter and Lecce this afternoon.

The teams should be announced at 1PM Newcastle time. We’ll get a good indication of how close this deal really is when Antonio Conte announces his squad for the Lecce match.

After the win against Chelsea yesterday, Steve Bruce was again asked about Lazaro, but he was non-committal in his response.

Hopefully, we’ll see an Inter squad announced with no Lazaro in it this afternoon. That would be a very good sign that Lazaro is getting close to becoming a Magpie.

A new name in the mix ! Need to do some searching to see what he is like. “m euros for loan isn’t’ too bad if he can find the back of the net regularly and a bit of pace wouldn’t go a miss either.
Well done yesterday lads. Yous dug deep at times and that made the difference against Chelsea.

Not a bad player by the looks of things. Probably slightly resembles St Maxi but more of right sided player. fairly quick with clever feet and looks before passing unlike some
Worth a 2M euro punt if we can definitely get the option to buy as well
