Newcastle United have announced that Kelland Watts will join Mansfield Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
? #NUFC defender Kell Watts has joined @mansfieldtownfc on loan until the end of the season.
Best of luck, @KellWatts1!
— Newcastle United FC (@NUFC) January 28, 2020
The 20-year-old Watts was recalled from Stevenage this month after making 20 appearances for the League Two club, who are currently in last place.
It’s interesting that Newcastle have sent Watts back to the same division rather than seeking a move at a higher level for the defender.
Here is Mansfield Town announcing the loan signing of Kelland.
BREAKING NEWS: We are delighted to announce the signing of versatile @NUFC defender @KellWatts1 on loan until the end of April! ?
— Mansfield Town FC (@mansfieldtownfc) January 28, 2020
This is what Mansfield manager Gary Coughlan had to say about the youngster:
“Kelland is a player who can play in numerous positions. He can play center-half in a two or a three, he can sit in front [of the defense] or he can go in at left-back.
“He is technically very good. He’s big, strong and suits the division. I would say his best position is a centre-half, but if he needs to, he’s comfortable in front of the back four.
“He knows what the division is about and he’s young, fit and hungry. He has a desire, work rate, and attitude, which is exactly what we’re looking to build here at this football club.”
We wish Kelland all the best at Mansfield and hope he proves to be a big asset to them for the rest of this campaign.

Comment #123Why are the media so shallow? This takeover talk always pops up at the end of the window.. taking attention away from the fact that we AGAIN fail to sign someone! It’s ashley himself who publishes these stories.. ignore it!

Comment #129He’s obviously not going to be getting many, if any 1st team call ups in the near future and is cup tied so a loan move is a good one for him. And he will probably get plenty of games with Mansfield unlike some of our other loanee’s.

Comment #130What if Ashley prefers to sell to a bidder scraping the funds together so he can extend his malign influence through branding in the ground and merchandising. The Saudis could possibly be too wealthy for him and want him excised wholesale.
Nightmare scenario if he prevented us from being rich beyond our wildest dreams for the 2nd time after the Mansours.

Does it not come back to Palestine though, the Jews want a homeland but the Arabs won’t allow it, hence the Gaza strip, my father in law is a mackum, yet I still see the mackum not so much an enemy but certainly our rivals, the ones we have to be better than.

It’s a bit different to the whole mackem thing tbf but I get the point you’re making. If the arab world stood up to the US and Israel then Palestinian people wouldnt be living in a modern day concentration camp.
Iran are the only real noise makers for Palestinian people and have poisoned the area with terrorist groups who claim to be freedom fighters, Iran and saudi are at loggerheads and it continue to be that way till the saudi’s actually stand up for rights off other Muslim nations. As for the Jewish Palestinian issue, that is something that will never be over in our lifetime unfortunately, saudi’s do plenty of business with Israel

Exactly. Mixed messages already. That’s the point of the story. One side saying everything is in place, just need Ashley to sell. Other side saying come & buy it if you’re serious. In my (extensive) experience of non-takeovers, this already ticks a lot of boxes. We’ll see.

Comment #136The Saudis are more aligned than ever with Israel which has been strained over many years, the main reason or only reason is hatred for Iran. I dont think any arab is prevented from doing business with an Israeli and vice versa, however could he wrong on that

It all comes down to history and money, correct me if I’m wrong, but was Palestine not originally Israel’s, but did Israel then not abandon it viewing it as worthless, so Palestine formed its own identity, did this not work for generations until Israel decided they wanted it back, its a bit like someone knocking on YOUR door saying that there great great great great grandparents used to live there so we want you to bugger off so we can move in, yet the western world back Israel, why, could it be money, Israeli oil compared to Palestine, well no comparisin

Micheal James Ashley receives 2 bids that meet his asking price.
1 literally has a bottomless pit of money
The other, similar wealth to his own.
Again, both meet his asking price.
Who do you think this fat cretin sells to?
HE WILL NEVER SELL TO ANYBODY WHO CAN CHANGE NEWCASTLE UNITEDS FORTUNES!
Why would he care. He doesnt make any money from it…
UNLESS…
He still has some fingers in the pie!? Advertising? Shares?
HMMmmmm…
Now we might be on to something, this is why he would fancy selling to an outfit with serious wealth… it hugely benefits him.
BUT WAIT…
Who, with any serious wealth wants to sacrifice parts of their spanking new toy as part of a sale?? You pay top dollar you want it all, right!? So, again, WHICH MULTI BILLIONAIRE lets him keep them fat greedy fingers in thelr brand new club?
NOBODY.
Conclusion…
HE IS NOT A WILLING SELLER! THE CLUB CANNOT BE SOLD!

If you look at the old maps it was referred to as Palestine, ottom empire had ruled the land since 1500’s until we (the brits) took over in 1918, in 1948 the Israeli state was formed, this led to 6 day war in 60s in which Israel took over the Palestinian state and essentially Israel the country was formed with the help of brits and Americans.
Prior to that Jews were scattered around europe but wanted a home of there own. Amazing what meddling in other countries can do and the affect it still has today
