Freddie Woodman continued in the net for Swansea this afternoon as they played QPR at home. The 22-year-old has started all 32 league games for the Swans. Woodman was able to keep his tenth clean sheet of the season in the 0-0 draw. The point keeps Swansea in ninth in the Championship, but it’s been a run of four straight winless games for them.

It’s four starts in four games for 20-year-old Kelland Watts since he joined Mansfield Town last month. Kelland opened his account by scoring on a header in the 60th minute. The Stags, however, fall 2-1 at Leyton Orient to extend their winless run to four games. They remain just two places above the bottom two in 21st place.

Rob,
You aren’t breaking an NDA if the other party has reneged on a deal.
For example, BZG wouldn’t have lost any credibility whatsoever if they had come out and said everything we published in our statements to fans was true but we withdrew from the sale because Ashley asked for another £10M after the deal was agreed.
They’ve lost more credibility by making those statements, Ashley totally refuting them, and themsaying nowt.
Surely you can see that?

No, I’m not saying that all the interest is fake.
What I am saying is that BZG, for whatever reason, claimed that a deal had been done, proof of funds provided and that everything was with the FA for DD. Despite this the Chron, no doubt told from a contact at the club, consistently and from an early stage stated that NO BID had been received but most fans (and me included for a while) chose out of hope that BZG’s version was the legit one. WE WERE ALL WRONG.
Result?Ashley got the blame for changing the goalposts and asking for an extra £10M.
Staveley first time round; no doubt genuine interest in buying but couldn’t get enough investors to pit a bid on the table. Second time round ie., now, who knows?
Kenyon; convinced Ashley in late 2018 he had the funds so much so that Ashley announced the buy out was all but done. And what happened, KENYON DIDN’T HAVE THE MONEY IN PLACE.
Result? Ashley gets hammered for ‘fooling’ the fans and now demands that any interested buyer puts up £250,000 before they get access to DD so that he doesn’t waste more time and money on fantasists and PR seekers.
No matter what the screamers on here say…
I bet I am nearer the truth.

Basically James Reuben (the man linked to having a big role if the takeover goes through) liked a fans tweet about the takeover. He since unliked it but one guy recorded and screenshot the proof that James Rueben did actually like it(official account) but the video has since been removed. Suggests the takeover is live and perhaps heading towards a conclusion to me…

While I generally agree with a lot of the sentiments that you put across.
I have to say that Ashley is solely to blame for all the the fake (or not) sales rumors. When he announced several years ago that the club was for sale he included the words (don’t quote me, but the gist is) that he would accept some kind of deferred payments – that, and that alone has made all sorts of shysters come out of the closet to try and buy the club.
And that is what has led us to the circus we have today…..people (individuals or groups) that can’t afford a premier league club taking their chance on paying on the never, never.
I agree with you, I think he would sell….but the buyers he’s dealing with are of his own making.

Whats the crack with ashley asking for a 15 million non refundable payment to take it further.
It just keeps going up. 250k here, 15 mill there.
After all whats 10 mill to someone thats got 30 billion or 100 billion (ashleys words not mine)
Well same goes to ashley he should just sell the club as he clearly cant take the club forward.
At the end of the day NUFC is worthless as he doesnt want to sell.
Just like his share price pointless as he doesnt want to sell.
Take take take is all you get with ashley.
It is greed that will kill Newcastle.
Investing in the youth.
You say you wish you had of protested years ago, well dont be saying that in 2 3 4 5 years time.
Come join in.
Personally i think if your a match going fan, protestor outside sjp, boycotter or watch it where ever you are we should all be singing the same hymn Ashley out.

You’ve overlooked the fact that arabs do not like to be seen as losing face and they wouldn’t come out crying ‘foul’ as doing so would imply they’ve been misled or missed something.
Don’t forget, there’s only be a formal offer submitted when all parties have formally agreed on what’s in and out of the package.
Up until that point, one must assume that an NDA must be complied with. In the case of BZG, wasn’t it their claim that the Heads of Terms had been agreed and the HoT only provide the big picture and brings the parties together to discuss the finer points. And that’s where Ashley steps in requiring this and that to be provided or bought at a premium.

Yeah it is possible to record someone else’s tweet and it is a strange concept but it is what it is. You can screenshot or screen record anything on your phone and once you have that no one can get rid of it. It’s no different I guess to having the tweet on your phone, getting a Polaroid out and taking a picture of your phone which has the tweet on it. Once you publish something you lose control of it pretty much as anyone can screenshot/ record it.
In this case the guy who recorded the video was recording a notification he got that James Rueben liked a tweet that he was mentioned in. Basically the jist of things 🙂

Comment #17It’s tricky for a buyer to justify a 350 million quid outlay and say another 200 million to simply compete with essentially 6 other clubs for 4 CL places. You’re not gonna spend 550 million if you aren’t looking at CL football as a return on your investment, and that is far from guaranteed.
Against that Newcastle has the location and fan base to become the “Club of the North”, whereas the other 6 are clustered in the North West and London.
Still 4 into 7 aren’t great numbers for a new kid on the block, up against very senior clubs. It will require a big investment and significant risk. Not sure why a PIF would go for it. A mooted takeover by a mega rich private investor would be easier to believe in.

You make a good point but the top six really are all doing crap right now, bar man city and liverpool. Man united, tottenham, arsenal, and even chelsea are all in the same ball park in that they could easily finish mid table this season (maybe not chelsea) IMO it is the perfect time to invest as the league is poor at the moment – a few wins could see you jump from 15th to 5th. Sheffield, Everton, Wolves, etc are starting to rise up but it is too early to judge them yet and if there was ever a time to join them it would be now so we would not get left behind

Every season is different, and this season is different to most.
Everton have tried to buy their way in and failed, west ham have half heartedly tried and failed.
Leicester is the shining light (even though they have failed many times with managers, they keep going until they get it right)
There’s no magic formula, so when I see people posting, if we only did x,y and z we’d be in the top6 – complete poppycock (don’t want to use bad language). There are no guarantees in football.

I completely agree, and that’s the magic of the Premier League. I know I’m not expecting top 6 next season if it does go through, but I would at least expect us to challenge for it. We certainly couldn’t try less than we already do. Plus, I believe that recently, there have been consistent, poor seasons from the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Everton. That can’t be ignored.

The nature of the league this season, we are competing for top6 (of course we are also in danger of being sucked into a relegation fight)….it’s that tight.
That’s what makes the EPL the best league in the world. The margins are extremely fine.
Will we push on or we will be sucked in? I don’t know……

You ask ‘Where is the tutor? The man that has educated people over the last 3 years?’
Jib says he’s in Spain and Bill’s son’s doing his best to stand in for the Googlemeister. But and despite Bill’s son’s best efforts…… well, it’s not the same is it.
Whilst Jib and Bill’s son each try to be seen as know-alls, there really is only one.
The Blogs’ aim to educate and inform has let you down on this occasion and Bill’s son might do the honourable thing and bow to Jib’s presentational panache. Jib can bull hit but he knows when to stop.
Jib, hurry back from Spain and take Bill’s son under your wing, teach him the ways of the real world.
