Journalist Reveals Position Versatile Signing Is Likely To Play

Valentino Lazaro has played several positions throughout his career. He can play on either wing, as a right-back, and even as a number 10.

While at Inter Milan before joining Newcastle on loan last month, Lazaro was primarily used on the wing. Of his 12 appearances, 11 were in the more attacking role.

However, last season at Hertha Berlin, Valentino spent the majority of his time at right wing-back. It is there that the Athletic’s Chris Waugh sees Steve Bruce deploying the 23-year-old.

With Newcastle having issues in the final third, Bruce could rely on the added quality out wide in Lazaro and Danny Rose to create better chances for the strikers.

Waugh, in his article, cites Newcastle woeful offensive statistics. We all know about the lack of goals with Newcastle scoring just 24 this season, which is joint second-worst and behind only Crystal Palace with 23.

Newcastle also only manage 9.9 shots per game, with just 3.3 of them on target. Only Crystal Palace have fewer attempts on goal.

Newcastle weren’t able to bring in a goalscorer last month. Bruce will have to hope that Joelinton, Andy Carroll, and Dwight Gayle can start finding the back of the net more often.

With Lazaro’s quality on the right, the hope is that he can create more opportunities for them to do just that.

    Carltoon.
Seen kells goal on sky sports app highlights.
Beautiful header you can tell he played as an attacking player but now in defence.
Hes got a cracking shot on him aswell.
    The future us bright.

Tom allen looks like he could develop nicely.
I would happily accept the 2 longstaffs, kell, allen and woodman as youth team products.
Known how much dedication kell his put into training and developing, if the others have done the same then they deserve to to be given an opportunity.

lesh – Bills, You’ve overlooked the fact that arabs do not like to be seen as losing face and they wouldn’t come out crying ‘foul’ as doing so would imply they’ve been misled or missed something.

That comment is the absolute opposite of what Dubai Mickey has said and others who know how arabs think.

If BZG had been truthful in their statements then no doubt a multitude of people in their circle would have been asking about the purchase, their ambitions for the club wtc., etc.

If that had been turned on it’s head by Ashley reneging on the deal they would have told the whole arab world why. THAT is the only way they could have saved face.

Posters last night were going on as if NDA’s allow a company to completely fool/defraud/hoodwink buyers into wasting time and money without being able to say a thing.

    They absolutely do not.

Valentines day’s fast approaching and denying some of our posters their hearts amounts to denying them the only sign of affection they’ll ever get.

Ashley is solely to blame for rumours / speculation – a simple press release ( as happens in most takeovers / buyouts) stipulating that either a: We are initial discussions, we’ll update when we have further news blah blah or b: there is no truth in the rumours and we’ve not been approached would kill off all the speculation – he uses press releases continuously when he makes a bid for another company ( even more so if the bid is rejected ( Debenhams etc) – it’s standard practice ffs

And, the club made it known to the Chron that despite BZG’s claims that a deal had been agreed no bid had actually been received.

The club would have done that so as not to publicly debunk BZG in case a real bid was made.

95% of fans, me included, ignored the Chron because we wanted to believe BZG.

Guess who turned out to be right?

I sign NDAs with different companies all the time for projects, each one has it’s own small print, however none of them prevent you from talking about the high level details of the project or what you are trying to achieve – they are mostly there to prevent you talking about internal workings or any IP that the project hopes to create.
Ashley or the buyer can certainly disclose they are in discussions with each other.
Some people on here talk a complete load of bullshit about things they’ve never been involved in and heard from a mate of a mate or maybe just dreamt it all up.

No NDA includes talking about matters already in the public domain – hence both parties can make statements on information that is already available such as PIF making a bid ( or not ) so why doesn’t Ashley do it?

If Lazaro can improve our delivery into the box along with Rose on the other side then hopefully we can start to create some more clear cut chances as the amount of times Yedlin/Richie get near the box and hits the first man or hits it too far is so frustrating!

Although we do need to get more bodies into the box especially runners from deep for the cut back Joelinton also needs to make more direct movements for tap ins and headers

    cans,

Why oh why are you flogging the dead horse bet?

    Let’s get it right…

You GUARANTEED we would get knocked out of the cup by the ‘first decent team’ we faced.

I called you out as a crass supporter for seemingly glorifying in predicting we’ll be knocked out.

You now turn that into asking me to bet £100 that we’ll win it.

Don’t be so childish and daft.

From previous experience of peacefully protesting against the regime.
They took notice of sell the club mike banner in ground,
I also peacefully protested with a couple others outside charnleys, holding up a couple of banners thats all, one being my pensioner protest partner Pattymag, whos been doing this a lot longer than me and been at every protest i have.
They seen a picture of chi and me together holding said banner at food bank.
They go all out to try and find out who you are,
They used photo and there accounts to find out who i was.
They then used said acquired info to get a message to me that the club wanted to sit down and meet.
On the day i was told this i was about to fly out the uk.
They were told this info that i was away for winter.
They were also told i wasnt just one man on a mission, that i was part of The Magpie Group.
So when i got back the police were waiting for me instead.
They also sent police around to Pattymags but not the others.
Lee Charnley and Lee marshall will be able to confirm this.

Protesting works, if it didnt why have they tried to stop Pattymag (who is a lovely older lady just standing up for the club shes loved all her life and me. All our demonstrations have been peaceful and will always be.

10k walked away, more have stayed away.
His reaction to give away 10k free half season tickets.
Southampton match looked empty while watching on a tv in a bar while away.
Tv companies have definitely told ashley to fill SJP.

Its been a crazy season, lets go win the FA cup.

I’ll paraphrase what I said, Arabs hate losing face, so when they put their heads above the parapet and say “We’re doing this” and then they don’t, then that makes them look foolish, so they won’t do that, they’ll wait until 23:59:59 (ie, not just the last minute, the last second), before they announce anything.

Re BZG, they did have a heads of terms agreed but for whatever reason couldn’t push it over the line, their line is that ashLIE changed the deal at the last minute and wanted more money, whether that is what happened (and I believe them), or not who knows.

Midhat isn’t an Arab, he’s a born and bred Londoner (and talks with a bit of a cockney accent weirdly enough), I personally think he overstepped the mark with his interactions etc. whether it was done with the Sheikhs authority or not I can’t comment as I don’t know.

Oh, the other thing Arabs do is, if anything does go wrong it’s always someone else’s fault and someone has to take the blame, as Midhat is still in his position suggests to me that Shk BZ still has total trust in him.

Anyway, it’s all on reputation and power (wasta) here.

    Hope that helps.
