Newcastle Could Sign These Three Out Of Contract Prospects This Summer

Recently Newcastle have been linked with a few youngsters who will be out of contract with their clubs this summer. With the club trying to increase the quality at the academy, we will likely see Newcastle bring in some young talent this summer.

The club seem to be on the lookout for bargains at the youth level. So that could mean that some of the recently linked players could be targets after this season.

Last summer, Newcastle added three free agents to the U23s in midfielder Kyle Scott, goalkeeper Jake Turner, and defender Ludwig Francillette.

A couple more were added to the U18s in January in Reagan Thomson from Queen’s Park and Stan Flaherty from Arsenal. Thomson was brought in for around £50k while Flaherty was signed on a scholarship deal.

Another Arsenal player Newcastle were said to be tracking is 18-year-old Alfie Matthews. There was a report last month that the youngster, whose two-year scholarship at Arsenal expires this summer, was offered a deal by Newcastle.

Alfie Matthews– are Newcastle looking at young striker

We haven’t heard anything else about Matthews but he could still be on the radar. The young striker has scored 5 goals for the Arsenal U18s this season including 3 in his last 4 games.

On Thursday, Newcastle were linked with another young forward in Scunthorpe’s John McAtee. The 20-year-old impressed when Newcastle’s U23s played Scunthorpe’s U23s in November.

John McAtee– scouted by Newcastle last Saturday

McAtee has since broken into the first-team for the League Two club where he’s made 10 appearances in 2020 with 2 goals and an assist.

He signed for the Irons last year on a one year deal so he will be available for nothing this summer.

The brightest prospect of the bunch is Turkish 19-year-old Efe Binici. The Goztepe midfielder has been compared to AC Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu.

Efe Binici– Newcastle to scout starlet on Saturday

Newcastle will reportedly be scouting Binici on Saturday in an U19 match against Konyaspor. He’s been prolific for Goztepe at the youth level scoring 51 goals while adding 84 assists.

He’s yet to sign a professional deal and would be available for just a developmental fee.

These three prospects are all being tracked by Newcastle and could join in the summer for very little outlay. We think they would represent excellent value and increase the quality at the academy.

What Will Be The Result At Arsenal On Sunday?

  • Loss (44%, 1,119 )
  • Draw (29%, 735 )
  • Win (27%, 694 )

GUARDIAN – Can Arteta get Arsenal’s attack firing?

Mikel Arteta has made the point more than once that, in a hectic first six weeks at Arsenal, there was little time to get anything bar the simplest of messages across to his players. He did a good job of that, even if five draws from seven league games denote little more than a steadying of the ship, but a fortnight let loose on such an underperforming squad should have allowed them to take a few more steps forward. Arsenal spent four days on the training pitch in Dubai during that time and the noises that have emerged from Arteta and his players are, albeit perhaps predictably, uniformly positive. “We are improving every day,” Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said.

Now they need to show it against a Newcastle side that will, if little else, be well drilled.

Arteta believes a good run can still propel them towards the Champions League spots but that will be a short-lived hope if home assignments such as this cannot be ticked off without fuss. Having calmed Arsenal’s defence down, the logical next step is for Arteta to get their attackers firing: the extent of any improvement on Sunday may well reveal whether they can hope to achieve anything of note over the next three months.

    Lindisfarne,
That’s not even taking in to account players like Yedlin, Clark, Gayle, Schar and Ritchie who’ll be in their last year, they definitely won’t be giving Gayle a new deal. You can be pretty certain that Schar has been offered one and told them to ram it and I just can’t see them offering decent terms to Clark and Ritchie, maybe two year extensions, so we either have to try and get a fee for them all or let them go for free.

I wouldn’t listen to a word Jiblets says when it comes to bucket lists. He claims to have lived in Majorca yet have expert advice on bars in Lanzorote, like people who live in Majorca fly regularly to the Canaries for their holidays. Someone asked him for a place to watch a match in London, being the smart ar$e he is went and googled the Howling Hops, a bar in Hackney. If someone else hadn’t of knew the place some poor footer would have turned up there to find it hasn’t even got a telly and you need one of those daft beards and a handlebar moustache to get served with some obscure malt ale.

I’ve been “debating” this morning with some very pretty lass who claims she’s rough as, swears a lot but scrubs up well???? Well she’s??? been arguing the toss of how well we are doing financially, even claiming the club wasn’t a mess before Rafa got here. It turns out she’s in cahoots with some Fulham fan for whatever reason. When i mentioned the two relegations and countess relegation battles she blocked me. That is 100% so.eone tweeting on behalf of Lee Marshall.

Aye well – Like many on this blog I have Black & White stuff running around my veins! But…. Ashley & his paid henchmen are never gonna chase me away from supporting MY team. MY team belongs to all the true supporters of Newcastle United. Mr Ashley may own the club on paper but it will never in a million years be his team as he doesn’t give a sh1t about OUR team

    Quote
“Don’t ever give up on your club, keep supporting it.”
“It’s your club and trust me, one day you will get your club back and it will be everything you wanted it to be.”
“Newcastle United is bigger than anyone.”
“It hurts I know but just keep going.”
“He is only one man. We are a city, a whole population.”
    “Trust me.”

If The Wife wants to ask my advice on South Shields or Angkor Wat I’d gladly advise her. What I won’t do is Google shit and pretend I know it as you clearly did with The Howling Hops.

    Just wow!

I’ve mentioned before I admire your tenacity I really do.

But you do yourself no favours at all by attacking anyone who doesn’t just go along with all you say.

NYmag is a decent poster and asked a simple question about an area where he used to live nothing more.

I’m as disgusted as you about the trouble Genji had, it’s nothing short of disgraceful and more evidence that the club doesn’t value fans at all.

Thing is as you point out there will very likely be people monitoring and maybe even posting on these blogs but they don’t want the fans to unite as that is where the power lies. Far better to have us argue as then we won’t have the strength in numbers to affect any real change.

Tone it down, take a moment to gather your thoughts before replying as you weaken your own arguments by appearing so paranoid.
