Rolando Aarons made his fourth consecutive start for Motherwell this evening in the fifth round replay of the Scottish Cup against St Mirren. Rolando scored his first goal for Motherwell as they came from 4-1 down to even the score at 4-4.
Another goal back!

It remained 4-4 after extra time. Rolando stepped up and converted his penalty in the shoot-out. However, it was not to be as Motherwell are knocked out of the cup on penalties 3-2.

Got some of that too.
Very into quiet things to calm the mind, between that and working with dogs I’ve improved my mental and physical health massively.

Comment #88Aye this is the pointy end. There’d be nowt wrong in Bruce just digging in and reverting to plan b again, put the old back line together and shore up the midfield with breakers. Single points at this stage are as valuable as a win.

The Palace game will probably get you the shortest odds a 0-0 draw has ever seen. Sorely tempted to stick Lascelles in my defence. We generally seem to do well after a stinker like Arsenal, yes 0-0 will be seen as doing well.

Comment #94Geordietom – agreed, if the gap between us and bottom 3/4 becomes 3 at this stage in the season, I think we will struggle even more as players start to panic
Let’s hope West ham and Watford don’t go on a run of games picking up points as I can see Villa getting a few wins ( presuming they keep grealish fit ) and surviving.

the palace game we need something out of that match . the teams below us are gonna start picking points up . i wasn’t gonna mention Rafa when he was at the club we got stronger later on in the season . picked more points up seems like with Bruce it’s the opposite …

Yes I have a few of them, having suffered from the wonderfully cruel illness that is Bipolar disorder for many years, I use whatever tools I can to keep afloat.
Was not dealing with medication very well, so I actually took a counselling course at college to learn how to talk myself down from the worst moments.
Haven’t taken a single pill in 10 years and not had a serious depressive episode for at least 2 years, which is when I stopped working in customer service and started with the dogs.

Comment #97Look, we’ll get our usual 0-0 draw down at Palace and order will be restored, we’ll get a few shots on target and Lazaro will look the part for a little bit and then Munster can resume telling us how Bruce is doing a better job than Rafa and that some savvy signings who won’t be here next season leaving more rebuilding to be done should have us doffing our caps to Churnley. Then we’ll get stuffed the game after and the other side can have their turn.

Comment #106We could all learn from dogs.
See the world as they do, take joy in the smallest of things, be grateful for everything, stop and take in the world around you, enjoy the outdoors etc.
Obviously don’t try to sniff people’s butts or hump them, and probably don’t crap on the path.
Ok we could learn some stuff from dogs.

Comment #112geordietom’s unwavering insistence that the takeover is still on is no doubt keeping the hope alive for some of us that we will be rid of Ashley one day. I don’t know what is behind his positivity on the takeover and I still think he probably has something up his sleeve. What that might be is anyone’s guess.

The great tragedy of Justin Fashanu’s story is that he will forever be remembered for his sexuality and a scandal that ultimately led to his suicide at the age of just 37. In that context, it is all too easy to forget that he was the first £1million black player in English football and that he was a gifted striker who had proved himself worthy of that enormous price tag. Sadly, Fashanu’s career stalled at Nottingham Forest after his big money move, thanks in part to the self-confessed homophobia of Brian Clough, and an injury at next club looked to have ended his career. But then, a move to America for treatment saw him playing again and in 1989 he returned to England to get his career back on track. For the next couple of years, he went through a relatively huge number of clubs, before signing for Newcastle (then under Ossie Ardiles) in 1991 on trial, and like Guppy playing just once as a substitute in a League Cup game. That was the extend of his impact at Newcastle, and he moved on quickly, attracting far more tabloid attention than sports journalism.

Just catching up with the chat from yesterday no I wouldn’t have wanted Mowbray here either but then I would probably have had him over Bruce! Would have taken Garry Monk over him as well at least for all their shortcomings they try to play football whereas I knew exactly what we were getting with Bruce before he came here!
Thing with Bruce is he let his mouth go at the start of the season in how we were going to be playing so much better football under him than under Rafa and I have yet to see any evidence at all that we will!? Have you!?
The only game where we created loads of chances this season has been against West Ham who were so poor it was actually worrying for them how we were dominating them so much!
Looking at our fixtures we could quite easily lose the next 4 or 5 by a single goal while he stands on the touchline doing nothing apart from instructing us to hoof it into the box
