Six Magpies Are Handed Starts For Their Loan Clubs

Freddie Woodman continued in the net for Swansea despite conceding four goals at Hull City last Friday. This time he let just one by in a 3-1 win at home against Huddersfield. The win was their first in six matches in the league. It moves Swansea to 9th in the table just 5 points adrift from a playoff place.

Jacob Murphy was handed a start for Sheffield Wednesday at Birmingham this afternoon. The 24-year-old had been resigned to late cameos during the last three matches. Murphy banged in a goal for either side in the 3-3 draw. Unfortunately for Murphy, he started off the scoring for Birmingham when a corner went off him into the back of the net. He redeemed himself with a strike to put the Owls up 3-2 in the 65th minute. However, Birmingham found a leveler in stoppage time to claim a share of the spoils.

Rotherham’s Dan Barlaser made his 13th straight start in the league at a former club in Accrington Stanley this afternoon. The Millers got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory. Dan got his fifth assist of the season on a 65th-minute corner that was headed in by Freddie Ladapo. Stanley answered a minute later on a goal by Jordan Clark. However, Rotherham found a winner in stoppage time to stay top of the Championship on goal difference over Coventry, who have a game in hand.

Rolando Aarons started for the fifth consecutive match in all competitions for Motherwell this afternoon. They drew 0-0 at Hamilton after going down a man in the 37th minute after Christopher Long received his second booking. Aarons was replaced by Jermaine Hylton in the 76th minute. The point sees Motherwell reclaim the important third spot in the Scottish Premiership.

Kelland Watts got another start for Mansfield as they lost 1-0 at Cheltenham. Watts has started every game since joining the Stags on loan. This was the first time he has not played the full ninety minutes as he was replaced in the 86th minute. Despite the defeat, Mansfield are still five points above the bottom two.

Achraf Lazaar made a rare start for Cosenza in their 2-0 loss at home to Frosinone yesterday. It was just Lazaar’s third start and the first one in which he played the entire 90 minutes. In total, the 28-year-old has only seven appearances for 244 minutes for the Serie B club.

Lesh on prev article re MA. Very true that we have one man who has claimed that he should be no where near owning a football club and is a willing seller and will sell to somebody who can take the club forward. However, imo if he fails to sell this time and the Saudi’s end up owning another team like wet spam and they end up being transformed and new hope. Only MA greed or willingness to sell will be the reason behind us having him here for many more years to come.

Then you have Simon Jordan, Jim white, Richard keys etc who talk him up and wont say anything negative despite the facts being as clear as day as to him being the worst pl owner. The media should be all over MA like a rash and demand answers rather than accept the rubbish as if it us the norm.

As all nufc fans I can only hope that we have new owners to look forward to in coming weeks or end of the season.

A couple of things in particular winds me up with Bruce and that’s his pardew type excuses, ie the weather and prevent managers fault and his hiding behind his sons comments in the media.

Bruce has been here long enough to get rid of Rafa’s rubbish and put his own stamp on the team. If the players aren’t good enough to play his preferred way and Joelinton isn’t a striker, why the heck did he not spend some money in January to buy a striker and rectify things.

If Brucie is going to last the season out and it looks like he will, a good move could be to enlist CH as an assistant manager, he’s available and might be up for it.

Although I wouldn’t bet on that happening.

    Stan,

Bruce is not the biggest concern. Sure a better manager will get more results, and safety will be assured again. But do you have any confidence that we will buy and sell smart and improve nest year, or are you like me and believes that the gamble of survival is the only game that will be played.

Bruce was just happy to have been offered the gig, let’s be fair. Didn’t listen to advice and could’ve refused Ashley and made himself a bit of a hero in both Newcastle and Sheffield by knocking it back and bigging up how content he was with no desire to take the poisoned chalice, no matter how much he loves his hometown club. Sadly for everyone he couldn’t see past the mirage of his dream job even though he knew he was umpteenth choice, told his would-be employer is a serial messer, and he would be out of his depth. I’ve really got no sympathy or patience for him.

I actually thought Joelinton was decent today but it was clear Palace were getting control in the midfield and Bruce should have changed things.

Was hoping Gayle would make it two up top but he just played where Almiron was.

Rose looks rusty to put it nicely. I can see it going down to the last couple of games to secure safety.

Brendan Rodgers on leicesters effort against City. “We gave so much to the game. It was a terrific game. Everything I asked the players to do in terms of aggression and pressing we did, and caused them problems”

I wouldn’t mind it If Bruce mentioned that to our lot.

Absolutely right on all counts. Unless a potential buyer can persuade Ashley to temper his greed, I think the club’s knackered.

I don’t think Ashley’s too keen on humble pie.

It really is time you started giving the communion wine a miss, you’re becoming more and more confused as each day passes.

And, a word of caution – you might have noticed that your Team Leader, Jiblets, has started to change his tune. He seems to have become more critical than usual? Has Bishop not paid him because he didn’t meet his performance targets or has he seen the reality and is a tad pi$$ed off after today’s debacle?

Munster, carry on as you are and it’ll not be too long before you’re the only one flying Brucie’s flag

Not sure why people are getting the idea that Bruce could be on borrowed time. He’s nowhere near relegating us and still four points above par. Ashley does not give a jot about the football, if we survive it’ll just be winged again next season.

I think Jabba will realize he cant shift season tickets now
So he will pretend to champion the movement thats going on in Germany over fair priced tickets
And just shift them for next to nowt , near give em away and pretend its in the fans interests
    Champion the common fan

He will love that, being footballs savior

The only problem with the whole thing is the utter crap he is serving up at the toon, kind of makes the whole thing ridiculous

I said from the beginning that Bruce would get away with it this season with Rafa’s team. Once it is slowly dismantled and Churnley starts rebuilding it with Bruce’s coaching, he will help relegate us next season.

And he will simply go on plundering the club of the transfer budget
    Trousering the profits from sales
Saddling the club with the wages of those he couldnt shift
And ploughing money into deals like Joe where its obvious money isnt being spent on the player

All in the name of SD and his own personal gain

Theres a call from the fans for fair priced football tickets
They claim its fans at the matches that the clubs benefit from as they cause the atmosphere
they feel due to the tv companies giving the clubs vast sums to show games the tickets should be much cheaper
Cant have a game without fans in the ground

Youll know this as its why Jabba gave away all those tickets

Its going to be hard for Jabba to have any kind of atmosphere in the ground now since he has mostly chased away the fans who used to sing
